I would avoid these lawyers at all costs. We had a simple Will to be probated as my deceased grandmother had not had her Will updated since 2013.
We met with Linda in late June. Everything seemed fine, I brought every single piece of paper that my grandmother had. Linda told us that she would get the original Will lawyer to sign some documents and she would send off the paperwork.
In mid July, after I - note that I had to contact them - they said that we had to come back in to provide extra details (which we did have the first time, but they never asked for). So we get that done. At this point they switched us from Linda to Jody. They had not yet gotten the original lawyers signature, but would get that and send everything off.
Late August I emailed them to see what was going on. They conveniently told us that we had to come back and sign papers and that the original lawyers had just signed everything. When I got there, the original lawyers signed everything the last week of July. So, they sat on my paperwork for just under a month and, again, I had to contact them. Wow.
So, finally it was sent out. They said it would be three weeks to a month to get the Grant of Probate. That was an obvious lie. Near the end of October we finally got it.
On top of it, when we went to pickup the Grant of Probate, it was nice that both Linda and Jody were unavailable even though we had questions. And it was SO nice of Linda to walk right by us, not say hello or acknowledge us after we spend $2500 on the WORST possible service ever.
Avoid this law firm at all costs. Go to, well, pretty much anyone else in Sudbury.
