Also worst experience of my life. We showed up maybe 10 minutes late on a thursday at their office due to heavy traffic and it was obvious that the notary was anxious to leave for the week end as they are off on fridays. Sometimes the notary was standing up while working with us and showing a bit on impatience when we had questions . They made us sign the contract (bought a condo) without having all the info from the association of the condos and also without a certificate of localisation. We filed a complaint for malpractice to the association of notaries but of course they sticked together and the complaint was denied. If she would have checked with the association of condos to see if everything was OK, she would have find out that some units of those condos have water leaking issues. Now we are stuck to pay an extra $5,500.00 for the next three years for repairs. We now have to go to court against the person who sold us that condo. Had she done her work professionally, we would have negociated the price at lower price to compensate for those repairs.

This notary was recommended to us by the realtor who sold us our home. What a huge disappointment! Approximately $200 less expensive then the average notary but the time and energy we waisted chasing after Bessette Notaires to get basic question answered and simple mistakes correct was unreal. Calculations were done incorrectly, after several emails and phone calls it took over 3 weeks to get a reply, only to get conflicting information. Ultimately there was no resolution. Bessette Notaires did not fill out our morgage requirements causing us to pay penalties with our lender.

J’aurais mieux fait de contacter directement Me Bernier par courriel, qui, elle, a été disponible et m’a répondu rapidement. Bref je ne recommande qu’à moitié, le service est assez bancal.

I had the worst experience with this notary. We finalized our property purchase three months ago there and everything was ok up to that point. After a long time I didi not receive my documents and deed and after many follow ups I realized they sent it to a wrong address. Since then I contacted them by phone and email many times, to send the document to my address, no response or answer, they only care up to the point they get your money. It is 3 months from my sale and I dont have any documents or proof the building is under my name. Still in the municipality and building everything is under the previous owner name and I dont have any proof the unit is mine. Worst part is that no one answers you, no response to phone calls, no response to emails.

Notre transaction immobilière était plutôt complexe et nous avions le stress additionnel de gérer les erreurs du notaire. Plusieurs fois il fallait changer la même erreur qui se répétait sur plusieurs document différents. Un rendez-vous important pour lequel on avait pris congé avait été annuler à la dernière minute pour aucune raison, sans avertissement. L'acte de vente s'est fait sans le notaire attitré à notre dossier parce qu'après une heure d'attente il s'est juste jamais pointé au rendez-vous en ligne. C'est sur qu'à chaque fois ils accommodaient la situation. Les erreurs étaient réglées quand soulignées, ils sont restez après les heures de bureau pour accommoder le rendez-vous fantôme, et un autre notaire a pris la place du notaire originale, mais ça paraissait quand même pas bien et nous avons perdus plusieurs heures d'attente pour qu'ils règles leurs problèmes d'organisation.
