My husband and I took the Estate Planning course last summer. I did think it was a bit unorganized (assembling handouts in the classroom while we waited to get a copy), etc. However, I believe it was the first time they had put on this type of seminar. Also, more people attended then they had anticipated. Apart from that comment I found the information to be valuable and well presented. Having a will has been something I have been needing since I was in my 20's (I am now approaching 70). This format of having a class every week made it easier to put together a will. At the end of the 4 weeks we met with the lawyer to review and sign each of our own documents. I highly recommend this course to anyone of any age; single or married.

No one really wants to think about preparing a Will! Finally stopped putting it off when we saw the ad for the Will course. The classes were very informal and informative at the same time. How to choose your executor, trust funds, leaving gifts and property to your children and grandchildren and ensuring your handicapped dependants are provided for were among the many topics covered. The group was able to ask questions about their own family dynamics. Great ideas on letters to your family members and how you would like traditions carried out. We hadn’t considered Power of Attorney, let alone an Enduring one. In the end there was the Will that we had avoided updating for so long. Definitely worth the effort. Thanks!
