I was referred to Sterling McLean by my Aunt and Uncle. I'm glad I went to him after my terrible experience with a previous Lawyer. I was over billed by my last Lawyer Chris B***. You can figure out who my previous Lawyer was. C B billed me $300 to draft a letter, each phone call was $150 and texts messages cost $75. When I went to Sterling there wasn't even a mention of billing at all. Sterling is very busy but always finds time to contact you. I've been on retainer with Sterling for weeks and he has been there every step of the way. For a Lawyer who's been in the game for over 40 years, he's a Guru when it comes to practicing law. I'm more than happy with the counsel I've received. My mom even makes him lunch once in a while because he's so busy. Sterling doesn't treat you like a client. He treats you like family. He's one of the best in all of Saskatchewan in my opinion.

Was hired to assist with buying property, however a mistake in the sale wasn't caught which resulted in us purchasing the wrong property. After waiting and waiting for them to sort out the mistake, they contacted us and told us we would have to pay them again in order to fix it as they had "done everything perfectly." My wife and I AND the seller disagree. I would rate less than 1 star if it was an option.

WARNING - Waited over 2 months for Sterling McLean to do absolutely nothing for our child custody arrangement. This was a very touchy case and needed to be dealt with quickly, as we were being denied access to the children. Promised many times to have paper work done. Promised to have it settled before school started and said it could be done. Called the office many times only to find he was busy every single time we called and rarely returned phone calls. Once we fired him he admitted to being too busy. Front staff was rude, hung up on us, told us we were tieing up the phone lines and said she doesn't work for Sterling - odd since she's answering the phone at his office. Spoke to other lawyers (Mackay) about Sterling Mclean unprofessionalism and lack of communication, very unhelpful and advised us to seek other council. Do not use Sterling Mclean or his office.

Did Talk to Steve and he come up with the stories how to solve the case with out seeing any case documents or facts. Also ask for $2500 retainer with out confirmation that initial consultation will be free.When I did ask for permit to legally charge clients before any work proceed, I was told to find another lawyer. Fills and swims like some kind of scam and law firm have a "Licence too Still". Did confirm with Regina Government and this institution do not have a rigth or any exemptions and legally can not change a clients up front. Also did forward the case to Law Society of Saskatchewan. Defiantly will not recommended this law firm.
