I retained Hillside Law to assist me through an extremely complex legal situation. Other lawyers had already told me that my situation would be extremely expensive to resolve, and would probably not end favourably for me. Dave and the whole team have a very approachable style, I felt very comfortable with them from the first moment until the last one, several years later. They are all easy to talk to about hard things. I very strongly recommend Hillside Law to anyone. Law problems and court do not always go the way we wish they would go. However things go, I would always feel as protected as possible with Dave, Monika, and Lisa at my back. I am truly sorry that I now have no more reason to retain them, they have successfully worked themselves out of a job with me! Ms White took on my case in and the next morning was there at my side in the virtual court meeting with less then a days notice. Fighting ICBC is not something you want to do on your own. ICBC is a government organization that will make unreasonable offers to people, hoping that their offers will be accepted. What you need to realize is that they’re not working in your best interests, but rather they’re only trying to save money for the government. We all pay our insurance premiums for a reason, and you would expect that because you do, you would get fair treatment from ICBC. I found this to be far from the truth. Before you do anything, you need to make contact with a lawyer for a consultation. David Brooke had been recommended to me, and it was immediately obvious after meeting with him, that he was determined to get a fair settlement from ICBC. He worked hard and tirelessly to achieve this. Because the process can be frustrating, and you sometimes want to give up, David’s experience helps keep you on track. There was always a positive feeling going forward after meeting with David each time. He also works on a percentage basis of the settlement, so there is no need to feel that you will be fighting ICBC from your own pocketbook. After my experience with David Brooke at Hillside Law, I can only recommend him as he has the experience in dealing with ICBC.
