Just make sure to ask specifically what you need her to do before going to your meeting. Otherwise when I went there I get NO help from her, also she wasn’t pleasant but sincerely didn’t care about that much. I just wanted some valuable legal advices. To her credit she wrote down all what I have told her and emailed it back to me. I don’t know why? I mean, why in the world that I have to see a lawyer and pay $450.00 to write what I told her and then email it to me. Bizarre!!

Back in early 2015, Ronalee helped me with my permanent residency application, which was a bit of a gong-show for me. I was in a bit of a tight spot due to my temporary work permit expiring, with almost little to no chance of renewal. I had previously consulted some other people, though it wasn't as helpful. Naturally, I was quite depressed and confused and had given up all hope of remaining in the country I had come to call home for 9 years at the time. She carefully listened to my story and got to work right away, helping me fill out the application and also navigating through the online system, which was quite glitchy at times. I clearly remember walking out of her office feeling hopeful and optimistic, and letting everyone know that I was in good hands. Happily landed as a permanent resident a couple of months later! Fast forward a couple of years in the future to summer of 2018, I was ready to apply for citizenship. Knowing my luck, I decided to seek help right away and I was introduced to Fanni. I knew I made the right decision. Fanni took the time to go through my entire application and pointed out some issues with my application and how I could better present all of my information, to avoid any issues because some things weren't as obvious to me. Beyond her volunteering experience at the SSP , she continued offering her help through the Ronalee Carey Law office. I was referred to Ronalee by a friend and I could only say that friend deserves the credit for us knowing Ronalee. Ronalee added the personal touch to our cases that she handled. We had an international study permit issues with the CIC and Ronalee was proactive in defending our case and even when there was a dispute or non-agreement with the Canadian embassy, she persisted that the case to be closed in our favor, knowing exactly what she was doing and the law sections she was referring to and ultimately, and our rights as applicants. My other Son in Canada had also an issue with his TRP and study permit extension, and Ronalee added her personal touch and connected us with one of the MPP’s office who could interfere and help. Later, she handled the case and she is always eager in proposing solutions and alternatives. Another example of the level of care, she took a step forward and oriented us about the program of study that my son wished to study. She also provided us with market data, articles, and future trends. Despite that she had the full right to request an advance payment, especially that she has to incur outside pocket expenses, we never received such a request and we only received our invoice after she ensured that service is rendered to the top satisfaction. Furthermore, we did not need to inquire as she always provided us with prompt updates and steps taken. When she was not available, she sent her associate to ensure someone had to be with my son to ensure that she is on top of the case and is fully aware of the situation and to provide the necessary help and legal advice on the spot. To state Ronalee is an expert in the immigration law would be an understatement. She is highly regarded among her peers and she is so into humanitarian cases.
