I have resided in Ottawa since 1998 and KMH Lawyers is hands-down the best law firm in town. We do all of our real estate contracts through Nancie-Anne, who is outstanding, accommodating, and extremely responsive. Nancie even helped me save tens of thousands of dollars by negotiating a settlement between myself and another party who was in breach of contract. For estate and family matters, Elisha has been very friendly, timely, and knowledgeable. All of this comes at a very low price comparatively. I cannot recommend KMH and their fantastic team enough!

We had previously had work done by Ted Manthorpe and when he retired Elisha Kelly took over our needs. Elisha and Isabelle El-Chidiac took on the tasks of helping me to settle my parents estate, taking it to probate and amending the deed (there was more, but it's all a blur). They were incredibly kind and considerate and professional. They kept the lines of communication wide-open, both ways. I was in very capable hands and now, a year later, everything is settled and I have peace of mind. I recommend KMH lawyers and especially Elisha and Isabelle without any hesitation. Hired this law firm to take care of my condo sale and a full month after my closing date I received a surprise invoice that wasn't paid by them when the proceeds from the sale came through. This invoice negatively impacted my existing budget by $1,500 and all I got was a less than heartfelt apology. When I pressed the issue and informed them that they happily took their full fee of $950 + HST and didn't actually provide me with the full service they promised, I was mailed a cheque for $50 as compensation. Considering it amounts to exactly 4.6% of the actual fee paid, that amounts to a slap in the face. Avoid this firm at all costs if you want to actually have your real estate closing process done completely, competently and error free.

I have property power of attorney for my mother and I needed to sell my mother's home, of over 60 years, after having moved her into a retirement home. Nancie-Anne Heaphy, at KMH Lawyers, was quick to respond to my questions. She asked for documents and pertinent questions of me, too, to assure that everything was on the "up and up", also ensuring my mother's needs and wishes were being met, something I certainly appreciate. Nancie gives off a sense of having an unhurried, reassuring & relaxed approach during our conversations, incorporating attentiveness to details and maintaining a highly professional manner. During the pandemic we were able to meet in cyber space, face to face. I felt secure in using the digital application the firm utilises to sign documents. The price for services is comparable to other similar businesses, but less complicated; it is well laid out and easily understood. Should the need arise again I will look to Nancie to provide her knowledge and expertise services to get the job done!

most unprofessional law firm Ive ever seen. Do your self a favor and find another property lawyer .. unless you want a random bill to show up 5 months after closing . Call them to question them about it ... be ready for some of the rudest people you will ever converse with . This firm is so bad my realtor wont even send clients there anymore. I guess being in a shady office in the bottom of Billings bridge should have been my first tip not to use them. Never again . Horrible !!
