I’ll try to keep my review non-biased but when you hand someone (Mr. Anber & Mr. Wolfson) a losing case and they turn it into a victory, it’s hard not be. Even now as I write this I am still in awe of how well they did. They took the time to use shred of evidence in my favor to argue my case and in my specific case there was very little to go with. That said they formulated an excellent argument and defense, right from the beginning I was impressed with the care and dedication they took with me and know that the same service is extended to all their clients. Even my family, who was with me most appearances, was thoroughly impressed. The outcome was exactly what I had hope as I expected the worse. Not everyone will be as fortunate as I am but with Mr. Anber and Mr. Wolfson you chances of a favorable outcome are far greater. As you can tell I would easily recommend them

David fought the case of DUI, hit and run and failure to comply for my husband. Our main concern was the fact that neither my husband or I was in Canada nor can we be presented for any of his hearings because he couldn’t travel back to Canada until all the charges were dropped. Finding David for this case was the best decision we made considering our circumstances. He was able to fight for my husband’s case without having the need for him to show up in person for his hearings and got all his charges dismissed sooner than we expected. He might not be the cheapest lawyer to afford but definitely worth every single penny.

Where do I even start with this one? Matthew and David are two of the best in the business, dynamic duo. From the start, they were professional and responded to texts and emails in a very fast and efficient manner. David Anber recently represented me in a case through the end of 2011-2012. I was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to traffic. David was extremely professional throughout the whole process; he was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. David was able to answer all my questions and address my needs in a very timely manner. I was facing jail-time from the crown and the original guilty settlement would have been house arrest. However, after discussing the case with David, we planned to take the case and matter to trial. David was able to use all his resources and knowledge to convince the crown to stay my charges, which effectively means I was found not guilty without ever having to go to trial. I highly recommend David for all criminal matters as he displays professionalism to the highest of extent. I have had friends who dealt with similar matters with different lawyers, who were not nearly as fortunate in their outcome and representation.

Upon our first telephone conversation, I was impressed with David as I had called 4 previous lawyers and none but David had a game plan from the get-go. Our son was charged with careless driving after he fell asleep at the wheel on a Thursday afternoon after work....working 7 days a week for several months had caught up with him. As a G2 driver, this is a serious offence and could have resulted in a licence suspension. David quickly explained how he would defend our son to get a lesser charge so he would not get a licence suspension. The ticket was reduced to Unsafe Start with only two demerit points instead of 6 with a Careless Charge. We are very grateful for his hard work . His team is exceptional. When i was involved in a misunderstanding and was charged with theft under $5000 my brother recommended David and boy was I glad he did. David helped my brother with a similar charge and he saved my career by clearing up the charges against me. David answered all my questions (and there were LOTS of them) and personally spent the time to address ALL of my concerns. He had a plan of attack and a backup plan as well. I retained Mr. Anber around a year ago to represent me on two serious matters. I just landed in from my honeymoon and was immediately detained. My wife called some friends and was given David Anbers number and was told he was a very capable and qualified hungry young lawyer. After we spoke I felt I had found the right council for my situation. It took around a year to come to an agreement everyone was happy with. In this time David was there for numerous phone calls( I had turned myself into a detective researching possible defenses, he never once made me feel like I was bothering him ) He showed up early for each remand and gave me reassurances that it was moving forward in our favour. I have never needed a lawyer in my life as I'm a boring "goody two shoe" person. But sometimes when you are innocent, you can get yourself into trouble if you answer the cops when they are investigating you as a possible suspect. Not knowing anything about my rights, I could have incriminated myself just for the simple fact that when the cops have a suspicion on you, nothing that you will ever tell them is ever going to help you. Anything that you will ever tell the cops will only serve to self-incriminate you (even if you are innocent). Update: Since this post my association with this law firm ended at their request. I won't provide details as I don't want to sway people away from their services. My experience, while brief was positive. Mathew's help upon my arrest and through the pre-trial process was invaluable. I am very thankful for that. In the end and with only 6 weeks before trail I was able to secure a new lawyer. All my charges were dropped and today I begin to pick up the pieces. This will remain a 5 star review as I truly believe in the abilities of Mathew and David. I will say for the record that personal relationships go a long way in life. Understanding how to deal with your clients on a personal level really goes a long way. They are going through the most stressful event imaginable. Dollars and cents are important to a successful business, a little understanding also helps. I recently hired David and his team for a serious legal matter and so far I am very pleased. Having never been involved with police I was scared and confused and needed help. While detained and in a tough spot both David AND Matthew called me and calmed me down. Without them I'm not sure what would have happened! Its early but reviews matter, it's what led me to them. I will update this review as my case progresses for those in need of legal help. I paid an $8000 bill, he abandoned me in jail after a breach on a domestic, and only answered a few questions around bail conditions for the money I paid him before replacing him. He was late and unprepared when I came to review the disclosure with him (he had not reviewed the material himself or prepared a strategy). He misled me on numerous occasions in his advice and commitments. His receptionist was in tears when I came in for a meeting he was late for. He and his associate are both younger men, and all of his assistants seemed to be inexperienced, but attractive females. Perhaps he is more concerned with presenting an image than defending his clients? He seemed to only want to work hard when taking payments and providing quotes for additional services and defending his exorbitant charges, after I found better council. Some people would rather take advantage of people in vulnerable situations than help them, I believe he is one of these people. I would not recommend, unless you are strong and feel you can protect yourself from a shark. I don't doubt that he is good at cross examination and in court because he is sharp and is a hot shot, but I believe his ethics and values are questionable. Lastly, I want to say that he has repeatedly failed to take responsibility for his disrespectful and unprofessional treatment of me and poor effort in legal representation, and only cares about defending is position and reputation. When he claims something is in your best interest, I suggest you assume that what he is really saying is that it is in his. I have found a much more professional lawyer. His level of respect for his client, care and attention to what actually matters is like night and day vs. David.

If you're here scrolling through reviews before making one of the most important decisions of your life, I strongly suggest you stop looking. Charged with impaired driving, over 0.08 and ticketed for failure to stop at a red light, I was fresh out of university and facing a reality that, aside from the obvious, included losing my job and taking a financial hit that I couldn't possibly afford. I met with a few lawyers, but ultimately felt that if there was a way to win this case, David was the one who was going to find it. After watching him represent me on my first day of trial, there was no question I made the right choice. He is brilliant in every sense of the word and was steps ahead everyone in that room - and it showed. The charges for impaired driving were dropped on the first day and in the end, so was everything else (even the ticket). I'm certain that had I chosen someone else to represent me, they wouldn't have fought for the outcome I needed the way that David did. He and Matthew (who represented me the day of the decision and worked tirelessly behind the scenes, I'm sure) gave me the best possible decision for a case that, quite frankly, I felt was impossible to win. Throughout the process, David was easy to get a hold and kept me updated throughout every stage. I was always given honest answers therefore had very realistic expectations regarding the outcome, which I appreciated.
