I came to Brian Hall with a family law matter that dragged on for three years, and which a Toronto-based "high power" lawfirm had failed to settle. Brian achieved resolution around complex issues within one month. He knows the Oshawa courthouse inside and out, knows the judges, is strategic, fearless, and is also a member of a small elite club of attorneys who genuinely care about client and family outcomes as the reason they do what they do. He bills so he can continue his practice law, he doesn't "practice to bill." He does have a heavy case load due to consistently high client demand for his services, but that should not deter you. Reach out and ask if he can take you as a client: if he does, you'll be in good hands, and respected hands.

If you have any kind of dirt and able to extort the other party this is the law firm to use they have no problem using extortion to win a case my belief is that in a fair proceeding they would likely lose so if you have no morals and will do whatever you have to do no matter how despicable look no further. Crooked and unethical which I am about to reveal with the filing of criminal charges for the lawyer and client!!!!!!

This business never returns calls! I left a message through the contact on their page, then followed up a few days later with a call. Reception passed me through to a voicemail, I left a message...no returned call. I called again, explained that I was not getting any returned calls, reception put me through to yet another voicemail....still no reply and it's been 2 weeks. This professionalism tells me alot about how they might handle my case.if I were a client. Maybe I dodged a bullet

Brian started my case ,was to busy to do anything, forgot to even file it for 4 months. Then passed it on to Michelle, she was to scared of the judge wouldn’t even speak up in court. These lawyers care more about there reputation with the judge then they do about helping there clients. They claim to be ethical but the system is broken ,these aren’t lawyers there Puppets in the “Oshawa court show”

This law firm is thee most unprofessional law firm I’ve ever dealt with. I had no other choice but to give up my parental rights because they refused to use 3rd party evidence and study my case. I had Michelle Williams on my family law case and it turned into one big disaster. On top of all the false allegations made by the respondent Michelle was easily persuaded by fake tears, story, and after I had written letters from doctors saying that I didn’t have mental health issues Michelle asked me to get another mental health assessment when she should stood her ground using the mental health act clauses to build up facts showing that the other parties claim was false. Communication was good in the beginning and then it was a nightmare. She gives you that feeling that your emails are stalking and creepy when all you’re trying to do is get something done. Her superiors don’t answer messages and are not professional either. All in all I had no other choice but to terminate my parental rights because I couldn’t continue with the nonsense I was subjected to from my ex and this law firm. I love my son but enough is enough and it’s sad that I will be alienated from his life and treated like some kind monster. In 2020 during COVID I attempted to get my files back from the firm. They knew at that time traveling outside of your region was risky as the public did not have all the information about COVID as it was new. The firm also never kept in mind that I lived almost an hour away but insisted that I come in to get my files when they could have been couriered or mailed back. I left numerous messages with the senior lawyer who never called back or responded back to me. After calling the firm throughout the summer I finally persuaded them to mail my documents back to me. I gave them a story that I may have been in contact with someone that had COVID which was a lie. I remembered when I was a kid people did their job with integrity and would go the extra mile... it seems like that way of thinking is not present with this firm. I feel like the only way for you to get any respect from this firm is with your skin colour and wallet.

These lawyers can be vicious in court but they know what they are doing. Well worth the money for their tireless advocacy. Sure they don't respond as fast as some might hope but they do respond as soon as they can - especially if you present yourself as a client who cares.

Not only is my matter of retention under OLA, the attorney who is representing me, met me without appointment after he had attended all day in court. He agreed to take the case with full knowledge of the scaled wage, the immediate nature of it (2 Days to prepare) and didn't make me feel inferior by any means. He took my feelings and requests into serious consideration and demonstrated that in "off" time was still giving his mental prowess to figuring the best way to proceed. I am so thankful for the recommendation to this Firm and Mr. Clemence, I am cautiously optimistic that this matter will be decided in my favour as a Direct result of Mr. Clemence.
