Brian Scott Helped out my Ex Husband Years Ago and did a amazing job. So when my son fell into some trouble we called him. He is honestly, so kind and understanding (def in the right line of work) . He knew we did not have a lot of money but still went to court with my son and did what he could for him even though me and his dad were struggling just to get him a retainer. His Law Clerk Katie is also a amazing person and Brian is very lucky to have someone like her. She made me (as a mom worried about her son) understand and feel so much more comfortable with the justice system and how it works. These 2 together are a power house lol. Brian was very honest about my sons case and if it was not for him and Katie my son would be a mess. Brian and his team are the best lawyers any worried parent can ask for. Our kids ran into trouble where we needed legal guidance and thankfully I checked reviews and went to meet Brian. Best decision I ever made! Brian was compassionate with our situation, he even helped us out figure out the $$ as he knew how this was a pressure on our family. Every time we spoke to Brain he guided us with his vast knowledge of the process/procedures, he was patient answering all our questions, worked with crown lawyer closely to get us the best possible option for our kids. Brian, Katie and Casillda were there was us at each step of the process making sure we always knew what to expect. i had brian scott as a lawyer a few years ago and it was the worst experience ever. Once i signed with him all he did was brush me off and it was quite clear all he wanted was my money. he is a shady guy to deal with and he does not care about anyone but himself. Also he tricked me (pretty much forced me) into signing 3 documents that i was not allowed to read.Long story, email me and i will tell you all about it. Stay away from this clown

Receptionist was very rude. I was calling to inquire about something and I got told off, the receptionist interrupted me, and quote: "First off, it's the long weekend, so no one is going to get back to you," "Second of all, you're calling near the end of the day so it's a really bad time," "So ultimately, you're not going to get anyone until the following week but even then it is not good timing." This was very unprofessional and very rude for a law firm. The same day I have been calling other law firms in the Durham Region and they all took my name and number down and was very helpful in helping me with my endeavour. No I am not a potential client with a case, but I still remain a customer and I was treated unfairly and a bad-mannered way and Scott & Samet should check whoever is answer their phones, this is not a way to speak to anyone.
