I cannot recommend Samfiru Tumarkin, specifically Lia Moody, enough. I had received notice that after 12 years with a company they were closing the branch and terminating the employment of all employees. The company had claimed that the amount of notice we were all given negates any severance they would be obligated to provide any employees. Mr. Gregory Sills is phenomenal at what he does! I was permanently laid off of my job in the City of Toronto on July 24, 2020. I saw a video of the law firm where he works on YouTube surfing one day, months before I was laid off. Funny how karma is so whimsical. When I contacted him he informed me that although there is a provincial medical emergency, my ex employer permanently laid me off and did not pay me my full entitled severance that I was entitled to more than just two weeks received according to the Canadian Constitution. When you get fired or terminated these companies think they can just get away with it. Most companies do not understand that termination clauses can be challenged and in most cases the companies will lose. Usually when they fire you they think you will just go away. All I did was get connected with Madelena Viksne and she handled it from there. She knows employment law inside and out.
