I would not recommend this firm to anyone and this even if I could pay their 5000$ fee to read and comment on a legal document. You will not get access to justice through them. This firm is just another law firm, looking to unjustly enrich themselves off people like you, like I in unfortunate circumstances. They aren't willing to be flexible to the realities of their clients that seek their help. This firm exists for the prestige and the social status of saying "we are Lawyers and we went to law school and my hourly rate is 450$/hr." They aren't here to advocate for client's rights or to advance the rule of law. I don't say this lightly when I write, don't waste your time with KPA lawyers, they are part of the problem and why self-representation is so high in Ontario, and also why there is so much miscarriage of justice. This firm is not as advertised and they fight for the rights of those that can pay 10000K to retain them. Pro-Bono work doesnt exist within this firms or any other like these ones. They wake up every morning to profit off the people. I dont write reviews often, however I needed to shed some light on KPA lawyers. Do not hire this firm. Dont let the reverse-victim act in these reviews fool you.

Preet was on my family law case for a awhile and I couldn't have asked for a better balance of compassion and fairness. Preet took the time to listen to my concerns and was understanding, but when it was time to work, she laid out all of my options, gave great advise and was efficient and didn't waste time with details that would not produce a probable outcome for my case. Very unprofessional... ..Update regards to the last comment. This is correct they did win in default. This was our fault for not attending when we should have. It’s very unfortunate that the scammer got his win through a default. Unprofessional to put false information is what this review was for and that’s just what KPA did. A win is a win and we completely respect that even though it was in default meaning no defending the facts on our part. ZERO STARS. Eva places false hopes in you and your family, only for it to be shut down by the judge and crown. Never heard of a lawyer that doesn't know how to appropriately prep a family member for a bail hearing. You could have no priors, no past convictions, on misdemeanour charges and she WILL NOT be able to get you out. Very sad, she wasted 8 weeks of my cousins time who was innocent, as soon as he changed lawyers, the new lawyer was able to prove his innocence and get him out in 2 weeks.

Highly disappointed Be careful while giving them your credit card at the time of initial agreement .Ryhan is a big rip off They are very selfish and materialistic .I was client of Charles who was More than Excellent as a young professional ,he has already left the firm .He has given me discounts as per settlement agreement but owner refuse to honor his own staff and charged me without my knowledge and consent whatever they wish on my given credit card was given as security .My emails been unreplied and calls been unanswered as there was no more chance to make more money from me . and even at the end they charged me big amount of interest .Even we agreed on payment plan but Mr Ryhan copy pasted one clause of their agreement that they can charge whatever whenever he wants as none of the lawyers here are employee so he doesnt care if even there is a written email by his own firm lawyers confirming about discounts and payment plan . Ryhan is selfish and just want to snatch money from you .

Update (2021/11/29) - the firm has reimbursed me the full consultation amount as they stated and thus I changed my rating to 3 instead of 2/5 I paid $30 for a credit dispute consultation. I talked to a paralegal and he seemed to be a very nice guy.. but most of my questions were answered with “I have to research this..” Thus I am unhappy with the value I got for my money which is pretty much a zero. I didn’t get any additional info or advise. I gave them 2 stars because he was a nice person to talk to.

Phenomenal Lawyer! I came to Emily after spending a ton of money with another lawyer who not only guided me wrong the entire time she also convinced me, that my ex and his lawyer were wrong……. Said lawyer also decided to drop me after draining me of $40k the only money she knew I had. We hired Marcela Slinin which was excellent, we signed the retainer with one amount base on my income (and justice net) after they switched my lawyer to a new one, Jonathan De Biasi, totally bad experience, after they filed my claim, then he broke our lawyer and client relationship and told us to get another lawyer, the law firm sent us another invoice telling us that we still owned the firm $5,799 more, this amount plus the initial retainer is almost $12,000, just to file a simple statement of claim, plus they did not give me back all my documents, every single document and evidence for the case, they kept it, and told my new lawyer that if we do not pay them the new bill, they will not return the file to us. What a terrible way of forcing people to pay them money for an incompleted work. Very bad experience with this law firm! In my opinion very unprofessional and they just care about the money. I hired Sasha to help with my custody and access case in 2017. She QUIT as soon as the retainer ran out, and did not actually DO anything in my case - in fact, when we were in court, she looked at me like a deer in headlights when the judge spoke to us, as if I should have known what to do. I was having to write every email or letter to the opposing side, from her, despite the fact that she was charging me for them! At no point after hiring her did it feel like she was even on my side, and when we are talking about my children, that is UNACCEPTABLE. I would never recommend this firm to anyone, ever.
