I contracted this lawyer to complete a home buying deal. But the lawyer clearly sided with my mortgage bank rather than taking my interest as topmost priority simply because my mortgage bank agrees to pay the legal fee. Some mortgage terms are obviously at my disadvantage but the lawyer didn't raise the alert. Instead, he did his best to cover it and entice me to sign. Fortunately I caught it myself in the last minute. There are some other sloppiness I found during the transaction. Won't trust the lawyer again.

Dealt with Tejpaul : Held funds for 4 days without any good reason ( I advised them 7 days in advance that the outstanding tax amount situation was discussed and solved with the municipality ) . I had to contact them to make them aware of the their mistake . A month after the possession date the property still had an outstanding tax amount . Again , I had to contact them and let them know that this matter creates problems for me . They were more than soft in pressing the seller to pay its outstanding taxes . Four days before the closing we were not informed about the appointment to sign the documents . Again , I had to call them to find out that the appointment was actually booked for the …following day . Ops . Contacted the office after the business hours and the administrative assistant ( Dawn ) reproached me that she is staying late because of my file . I sincerely apologies as a client for that .

Brutal experience with John Mullin. I would not recommend him and would give him 0 stars on here if I could. He did not ensure that joint real estate papers were sent to all parties prior to the appointment for signing. The appointment was hours before keys were passed to the buyers, and for the new home purchase. He did not ask if there had been any sort of discussion about the joint sale, and when we went to resign a new draft, there was zero acknowledgment or eye contact directed toward me. I am unsure as to whether that is due to my being female or because I was the one left in the dark regarding the initial draft/that I sought legal advice of my own as to how the new draft should be drawn up. Zero humanity, grace, class, or personality. Having said that, I have heard wonderful things about Tej Wirk at this agency, so I would not put him in the same category as his business partner, based on what some colleagues and friends have experienced with him.
