I used their services when buying my first home and very disappointed with the quality of service. The communication was very poor, in most cases emails to Polina and Robert was not answered. They fail to deliver final report on time, they told it will be delivered in 4-8 weeks, but it was delivered only on 10th week. This is the first time I dealing with lawyers in Canada, so may be this slowness and communication is normal for the industry, but it is not acceptable in my opinion, I would not deal with that company again and don't suggest anybody.

Be very careful if you are thinking of using this law firm for your family law matter.. they are ruthless with their fees... They start with the typical small retainer and before you know it you will be neck deep in fees... in my case $ 45 K for what they claimed was a "simple matter". In the end they failed me.. in many ways.. from document filing to forgetting to advise me of court dates to not presenting the facts accurately and here is the clincher,.. when I could not afford to pay them the ridiculously high fees.. the got a judgement and liquidated my only savings.. my RRSP... gone.. all of it without notice.. Stay away - far away from this firm.. There are several abused clients ramping up an action against them

Finally. They have google reviews. Over 5 years ago. I wanted to put my review on their site but was not allowed. I was going though a bad divorce and till to date I have not gotten one after getting ripped of over 10k. Charged for phone call and even photo copies. This is the time when Julie who is one of the lawyer got pregnant and my file was given to someone else. They wanted more retainers and I was already bankrupt. I had to pick up all my files from thief office at 96 barber something and say bye bye. Please do yourselves a favour and stay away from them. You have been warned.

My mom was rear ended by another vehicle where my sister and I were passengers. We filed a claim and everything was going smoothly, timely, and professionally thanks to our Law Clerk Murrad at the time. Suddenly, half way through our claim Murrad left the firm and all things went down hill from there. No one seemed to be handling our file and when we went to speak with our supposed to be Lawyer Mark he gave us the run around. No updates were given into what was going on with our claim. Years went by and I decided to push the issue and was told that another Lawyer David Schell would be taking over our file. We never heard anything from either Mark or David Schell even when we inquired for an update. It took about 3 or 4 years before we were able to get a solid response about our settlement. My mom and I attended a Disclosure hearing and had no Lawyer to represent us when the other Lawyer was grilling us about personal details of our lives. Instead they sent a very young female Law clerk who just sat there and said nothing in our defense. Mind you the questions we were asked had nothing to do with the car accident and it seemed malicious in nature. That's why we should have had proper representation by a Lawyer who took 30% of our settlement. In the end, I ended up with $5,000, my mom $16,000, and the Lawyer ate about $20,000 - $30,000 (can't really remember the exact number but it was a lot). I mean i know we have to pay 30% in fees but for what? Like what work did they do on or file that warranted the lawyer to get more than me? I requested a time sheet depicting the work and fees to prove the work that was done on our file. They provided a copy but I strongly believed that it was drafted up at the last second by one of their fancy law clerks. I also strongly believe that our settlement was left sitting in a corner collecting dust to add more money to their hefty fees. I would not recommend as I still have nightmares about how greedy these Lawyers can be. I mean do they really think they deserve $20,000 for not showing up to represent their clients? Not proving legal advice, feedback, and by simply keeping in touch? We shouldn't have to chase a lawyer that is being paid quite nice in the end. They were also unreachable by phone and we literally had to go down to their office multiple times just before we actually got a 2 minute legal advice telling us not to go to trial out of ear of being counter sued blah blah blah

I retained the services of Kerri Parslow earlier this summer on the advice of a corporate client. Having just completed divorce proceedings in the US, I was served in the Canadian courts and needed strong representation with the depth to understand the complexities of family law litigation in a cross-border situation... Kerri didn't disappoint. Such actions are never pleasant but the DSF experience was successful based on: 1) depth (I originally thought I was just retaining Kerri, yet it was clear this practice acts as a team and makes use of senior staff members on an ongoing basis (i.e. respected attorney John Schuman) - always better to put talent in play versus depending on a "point estimate"); 2) connectivity/communication (the worst feeling is not knowing the status of your case or having questions go unanswered (based on my US experience) - Kerri and her team were always available - bberry friendly and supportive, chats/discussions were often held well outside business hours); 3) cost control (no one likes to pay counsel - especially CDN rates, yet Brooke Kennedy is a very capable Law Clerk for the Family Law Group at DSF and was used appropriately to help offset costs and reduce the overall expense). Choosing representation is always an issue of trust on future performance - I'm pleased with my choice, and wouldn't hesitate to use the services of Kerri Parslow in the future.

We utilised the services of Bob Adorian at this firm to coordinate the sale of our existing home and the purchase of our new home. Emails were never responded to by either bob or his assistant polina. The only occasion where we received a call back was during the day of the closing. We had to repeat and re-send information several times and the client service levels were very very poor. We had to ask technical and legal questions about the whole process. Bob or Polina never took the time to explain the details of the process. What this firm needs to understand is that individuals buy and sell homes 2 or 3 times during their entire lifetimes and depend on their lawyers as experts to advise them of things to be aware of. Even at the time of writing this review, we were not being listened to when we offered them feedback about the poor service we received.

Strongly do not recommend the services of this lawyer at the Whitby office. She didn’t explain the options available how to proceed with an estate dispute. She initially took the case on the premise that fraud was committed with undo influences and she did not explain the other options such as spousal support.Her assistant was very sarcastic and she even believed the mis-info the other-side provided. I thought she was either naive or lack experience in real life situations .It almost felt like she was representing the other-side.
