Worst phone call ever!! I’m so sorry for the rude attitude and customer service for the first and last ever call with your office! Please try to learn the customer service if you are a businessman in Canada. I called them for questions and booking an appointment, they way I’ve been questioned and informed was so rude and after I asked for the appointment I’ve been told to call again in 10 minutes!!

We were treated brusquely on the phone, and asked to pay $250 for a witnessed signature (on a Mortgage Form C, no legal advice). When I asked why this was not closer to my $50 expectation, I was told to go see if I can find it cheaper, that I would not be able to. This felt untrustworthy/pressured to me, so I walked into a lawyer's office 20 feet away and they photocopied ID, witnessed, 5 minutes total in the office, and they refused to take any money for it. THERE is service to the public.

Huge rip off. Had to pay over $120 to get a couple papers notarized and he made it sound like he gave a huge discount. Found out later that my colleagues at other notaries got the same paper work done with $60. Also really suspicious how he only accepts cash and didn't give any receipt or proof of payment. Huge mistake in coming here.

I went to see him in a pinch today because my regular notary was off. I needed a notary to witness a one page document. Nice enough chap, didn't seem very busy so called then came down within the hour. Charged me $195 plus tax to witness the signature with my two pieces of ID. He made it sound like it was a special deal because both my wife and I signed and he'd normally charge more. Trouble is I have notarized many documents in the past. My regular notary, Shemin Jamal (also on Lonsdale) charges $50 for the same exact thing. I've also used Lorraine John also on Londsdale, and she also charges $50 for the same work. It's a free market so the fault is entirely mine for not asking his price over the phone before dragging my wife down there. Caveat Emptor! Would have higher star rating if his fees were at least within ballpark of the other notaries on the same street.

This notary is outrageously expensive charging me 50$ PER COPY of my mother’s death certificate and quoted me 1200 for completing a storm water sump covenant. I later found a wonderful notary who is lovely to deal with and charges 40$ for five copies of a death certificate and 550$ for all costs for the sump covenant. I will never use Jamie again, my mistake for seeing him in the first place.
