I had a bad experience with this law firm and strongly discourage anyone from ever using them! They didn't honor their quote given or even come close (quoted $50-$100 on the phone- charged over $400!!!). Before going with this lawyers office I called all the lawyers offices in the KV/ SJ area to get quotes and was told by other lawyers it would cost $200 so I thought their charge would be more reasonable. I had approx. 20 mins with a lawyer from this firm (after having to wait approx. 25 mins to be seen, also they only have street parking which you have to pay for) and was charged over $400!! ($100 for "office administration", when I asked what that was-I was told it was for photocopies and faxing the document and since my 3 pieces of ID were the only required photocopies for the service I requested, I found that to be extremely unreasonable- they chose to keep a copy of the document for their own records which was not required and should not have been charge for). I grieved the charge with the law office and explained why it was unreasonable to change this inflated fee (especially by so much $50 to $100 is very different from over $400!!!) when I could have been charged less than half at a different lawyer for the same job done. I do not recommend trusting any quotes by this lawyer as my experience would indicate they will charge whatever they want in the end and make up whatever extra fees they feel like without concern for their clients' affordability or time looking for the best price for a service. We have used many lawyers for different services over the years and have never had a problem with any honoring their quote until our experience with Carleton Law. They did render the service as expected, however we were disappointed to say the least with the charge and how it was handled.
