I came to Allen Madelin office when I was probating a mandate in case of incapacity of my mother. What a stressful time it was. Apparently, it is called a protection mandate now. I was interested in the process, the steps and costs. It all went well from the first meeting: they explained the process to me and everything. I was so stressed. I have to tell that I was especially worrying because of my disagreements with my sister. I was expecting a huge fight. Our mother had significant assets after all. These lawyers found me a doctor and a social worker for the expertise and psycho-social evaluation. It still takes longer than I thought because of delays in court. But it was good to share the stress with these people. They know what they are doing.

Consultation isn't free, their customer service is horrendous, the guy the answer the phone had such an awful attitude! I asked if I could schedule a consultation, just that, schedule it! Ans apparently that was too much work, he kept denying me all information and kept repeating "call tomorrow after 9" even though is 5:30 and they are still open. That shows how available they'll be if I need them or in the middle of an emergency. You should have a better and more professional way to treat people.

Exceeded my expectations GREATLY. It’s really hard to find a good lawyer now – pandemic and everything, so it was refreshing to receive such an amazing service in Allen Madelin. I came with an old succession case, which was already quite a mess at this point. But Me. Madelin and Me. Gagin pushed forward impressively with such a huge progress. Their work ethics is superb, they answered my calls and e-mails right away, explained everything in detail and were always giving fair warnings to avoid trouble. They offer Zoom and in-person consultations. I prefer offline and met them in their office. Not only I got all my questions answered but also felt quite comfortable. They are all super polite, especially Victoria at the reception, social distancing is respected and hand sanitizer was everywhere (which is important to me). Their fees are fair, I really wish I found out about them sooner, could’ve save so much and avoid many mistakes. I must admit that I found them on Internet and I picked them because one lawyer made himself available real quick for me. He talked to me with terms I clearly understood. I called Allen Madelin when I had problems with a commercial contract I signed and that was not respected and the consultation I had was very helpful to understand what I could do about it. This is the first time I actually called a law firm, the receptionist was especially nice explained to me haw I can send all the documents before to them so that they can review it before meeting. The lawyer who talked to me knew my situation well when we met and he gave me the best idea to proceed and also in a way that would cost me the less amount. Tim Gagin was referred to me by a Toronto lawyer who said he was a hard worker. I contacted him about breaking a lease agreement because of the virus. I was grateful when his reply was both detailed and comprehensive and he did this as a courtesy. If I am ever in need of a lawyer I will not hesitate in contacting Mr. Gagin.
