Legal Expertise + Tax Expertise = Peace of Mind My parents have been putting off making a will for a long time. They had previously wasted a lot of time with their old lawyer who wasn't knowledgeable or responsive. When they finally told me they were ready to switch lawyers, I knew I needed someone efficient, knowledgeable and patient with my parents. They deserve only the best. Maureen was patient with our questions, and had good suggestions for my parent's rental properties, life insurance policies, TFSA and RRSPs. The team was very responsive throughout the whole process and all of the necessary updates were made very quickly after our consultation meeting with Maureen. With the Covid-19 situation still looming over us, my elderly parents were also very worried about safety measures. Maureen's team offered a "drive-thru signing" experience where her staff came out to the parking lot in gloves and masks and handed the necessary papers to my parents for signing. My dad (who needs a cane to walk) didn't even have to leave the car and was able to sign everything in the comfort of my car's backseat. The whole experience couldn't have gone smoother. I am very grateful to Maureen and her team, and am very relieved that my parent's estate planning and wills are now complete!
