When my husband and I were purchasing our House, we went with this law firm because that is what the seller was using and we figured we would also. Everything seemed pretty good, and the lawyer was telling us we would be receiving a large cheque back because our Mortgage was big enough to cover all lawyer fees plus get money back and so they asked if they should call us to come pick up the cheque, or if they should mail it, so we told them to call us and we would come in and pick it up. However, they hadn't called us and then a month later, we finally received an envelope in the mail from them and we figured it must be the cheque. In the envelope was a Bill, with a ton of paperwork from our Visit. The bill was a high bill that we were now supposed to pay the fees, and the paperwork was not the original paperwork we signed. On the first trip to the Lawyers they said they couldn't give us the paperwork, but we would receive it yet, and now... we received papers that we never signed and it was different numbers all figuring out that somehow we owed them money instead of the cheque we were promised. They didn't call us to tell us that they had made a mistake... NOTHING. They just sent the invoice and called it good. We were furious because we thought it was already sloppy the way they treated us, however then not even admitting if you did make a mistake is pretty pathetic. Will never be using them again and would not recommend anyone else using them. Not worth the hassle at all!

Needed a Lawyer for a real estate transaction in Winkler and I used Scott Doell. He was great to work with and made the whole process simple and effortless. Scott and the other people i dealt with in the office were very professional and courteous. I have since done two more deals with Scott. One of deals was done while i was out of town for a good portion of it which i thought would add stress to the whole transaction but Scott and the office took great care of us and put our minds at ease by communicating well and keeping us well informed as to what was going on. If you have a choice do not use this firm. A recent real estate transaction was a complete mess. John Wiens is not helpful and does not act professionally. Choose someone else.
