I'm really glad that I reached out to Sands initially just with a question about a card that I felt I'd never be able to pay off what with the high interest rate - I just wanted some advice on regards to how I should approach the credit card company. Next thing I know I'm talking to Kristine about my financials and I decided to go with a debt proposal. I had no idea that I could use that for my student loan debt too. That debt was in deferment but years old so I'm really happy to have that dealt with. I feel so much better now not having to do the dance every month, frustrated that my money wasnt my own-keeping afloat but barely just barely if even. And then after, the 2 counselling sessions with Marlene really gave me great tools and information I had no idea about, to help me rebuild my credit all while paying off my debt in 5 yrs instead of who knows how long. I went from 26k total debt and Sands bringing it down to 10k. I get it's a worry that it could affect your score, but so is defaulting and your mental health with thank you.
