I came to Martha D Metzer Law Corporation during one of the most difficult times in my life. I needed a lawyer that could help with a very long-standing and highly volatile family violence case with many complex issues. My life and my child's life changed for the better, when I met Cole Cajouw. Although I had limited funds, he didn't turn me away. I was elated when I learned that Cole offered unbundling services, where I could pay for the work performed as opposed to paying out a full retainer fee, money which I did not have at the time. Cole was empathetic and kind to me. He is extremely knowledgeable about family law and was able to break down a complex case step by step. Every task that I requested was performed quickly, efficiently and all my applications with the courts were successful. Cole is extremely intelligent and knows how to apply the law. Competence and compassion are his strong points and I strongly recommend him to others.

Amazing person..and even a better lawyer. I can easily say the same about the rest of the team...Terri, Cole, amazing people to work with. Martha handled my case very professionally and i've recommended her to people who have asked for a good lawyer. Martha has a great reputation in/out of court. During my case, we dealt with few different judges and all had great amount of respect for her as a lawyer. For any matter, I believe lawyer's reputation makes a great difference as to how your case is presented and looked at by the court. She's the type of lawyer who wants to help her clients resolve & save money ...via talking to opposing counsels,mediation, coming up with different ways try to resolve rather than litigate as litigation could end up very costly. But when it does comes to litigation, she has a very strong /confident voice and a great memory to put your best case in front of the court. I highly recommend her as a family lawyer especially if your case is complicated and you want a good lawyer who knows your file inside/out. She is expensive but will get the job done. Had an open-ended clause in my separation agreement (done 3 years ago) which can now be closed-off with a simple general release document. Wanted a quick estimate of what it would cost (I don't mind paying) but not an exorbitant amount. "you need to make an appointment to consult with her regarding your request" charged at her exorbitant hourly rate then I will get a quote of what a one page document would cost....not impressed!

I know Guardian Angels helped me find my way to Martha's law firm and in particular, Monica Rudd, J.D. Associate. I needed to go through a divorce and I was a complete mess. I'm an extremely nervous and anxious person by nature and divorces are the 2nd most stressful things we go through in our lives, the 1st being the death of a spouse or child. Monica truly listened to make sure she got all the facts straight. She would ask necessary, direct questions but she was always a wonderful combination of gentle, firm and kind. Monica bent over backwards to maintain space between my ex and I, even to the point when we had a JCC, she was supportive of me wearing my sunglasses and turning my chair. The entire staff are amazing. Everyone is respectful and kind and professional! It's like watching clockwork. Nothing falls through the cracks, they all support each other. If someone has discovered something they'd like more expertise on, those with more knowledge step up and it's a wonderful thing to witness. Divorce truly is one of the most stressful things to go through in your life. Monica helped me get through it. She never beat around the bush- she gave me the facts, the law, the truth exactly as it was and she helped me in making informed choices. And she was a rock, she was always calm, always encouraging and I'm so very, very thankful she was my lawyer and that she and the Martha D. Metzner Law Corp was the team supporting me all the way. I would suggest not to look at these reviews. When a lawyer's office claims she has experience in certain areas and you find out otherwise when you meet, that is called misleading. When they charge you for the consultation before you meet the lawyer, that is called no confidence in their abilities. Finally, when the lawyer stereotype you based on your ethnicity then that lawyer should not be practicing. Unfortunately that lawyer is Ms. Metzner.

When I first became a client of Metzner Law I worked with Cole Caljoux who was very empathetic and kind. He was quick to respond, ethical in his practice and worked hard for me and my case. It wasn’t until later that I worked more closely with Martha Metzner and she was fantastic. She knows her stuff and is strategic in her approach. She keeps you focused and is ethical in her practice.
