Outrageous, I called for a quote to notarize a single page affidavit and was quoted $50.00. I called other Notaries for the same service and was quoted $20.00 and $22.00. I called back to check if there was a misunderstanding, or if I was receiving other services that I don’t require. No qualification, or explanation, “That is what we charge”. I encourage you to shop as this service is not value added and is generic.

Horrible. This was my 3rd time selling a house and by far the worst experience. The office is in a horrible location where we were forced to wait for 30 mins before I called to remind them that I was waiting downstairs (you can't access the actual office and have to wait to be escorted from the waiting room). He then advised us to sign a contract that the buyers lawyer had drawn up even though he had 'no idea what it was or why they included it'. Next he told us on Thursday that he wouldn't be able to get us our cheque until Monday. Finally he held back $1000 for some reason and didn't call us or mail it. After waiting 4 weeks I called and left a message and had no reply. I called back the next week and got through. And then I was forced to wait an additional 20 mins in the lobby for that cheque. AWFUL!

We had a complicated, unconventional transaction to do and the first notary the other party went to was provided a whole pile of misinformation and nearly backed out of the deal. My experience with Rafi @ LC notary couldn't have gone better, he went over the entire transaction, took the time to explain to me why it was structured the way it was, and was also very friendly to deal with, give him a call for all your notary needs, I know next property i buy or sell I'll be calling him for sure. It seems most notaries cant perform any paperwork beyond a basic home sale and transfer, Not LC notary, they go above and beyond and take time to educate their staff for unconventional transactions like the one I just had. Willuseagain/10, If i could mention one complain, that's not ever worthy of losing a star over, is that they make you wait in a downstairs lobby and have an elevator assistant take you up to their offices. I'm perfectly capable of doing that on my own. Otherwise, LC is your Go to notary, keep up the good work; and Rafi, you the man!

I have still not swallowed the 400 dollar bill for checking my identity to sign a mortgage sent by my notary in Quebec. 400 dollars. 30 minutes in the office and a scan an a few emails. Just be aware that this man, although patient and professional, charged me almost 4 times more than an abbotsford notary who did a similar mortgage signing and identity witnessing for me in 2020. 400 dollars. Yes I understand it could have been 200. But I have no unserstanding of being charged so much for that kind of service. Again, be aware and ask first what it will cost. You may just end up looking for someone else.
