I contacted Darnell Law group for a real estate transaction I was making. We had a fairly tight closing date but we're assured they could take care of our purchase. I spoke with the conveyancer several times as did my mortgage broker. Then just over two weeks prior to closing I received a call saying they were transferring my file to another firm! At this point I was in no position to argue or shop around. I will say that Magellan real estate lawyers did a good job and didn't overcharge me at all. This was my second time dealing with Darnell law group and both times extremely dissatisfied. The first time, during my divorce, they likewise referred me elsewhere because they had a poor rapport with my ex's lawyer. This was after representing me and taking my money over some months. In fairness, my ex did change lawyers, but any work they had done for me was now useless and in the thousands.

We utilized this law firm for a real estate transaction ILA (independent legal advice) only. After many calls to the firm, they finally scheduled our meeting on the day of close (30 minutes before the closing deadline). The lawyer spent 5 minutes in the room and charged an astonishing $750. I was absolutely shocked by the amount. I would not recommend this firm.

We recently had our Wills prepared by the Darnell Law Group and were very satisfied with the service and price. On another note, our 89 year old mother gave her notice to move from an Independent Living Seniors condo in Langley. She was told by management that she would not be allowed to take her possessions with her because of the COVID 19 pandemic. She was told that she could only take with her what she could carry on the day she moved out as movers were not allowed to come into the building. Needless to say we were quite shocked at this directive. We called Rebecca Darnell to see what and if there was anything we could do. Rebecca Darnell did not hesitate to provide us information to present to the owners and Strata of the Seniors condo. After two weeks of emails and telephone conversations and sometimes on weekends, we were given a date and timeframe to allow movers into the building. Thanks to Rebecca Darnell and the Darnell Law Group we got our mom moved into her new condo with her possessions on May 1st. On a Saturday 20 years ago....Rebecca of the Darnell law group answered the phone personally. I was going through the most horrific time in my life, my 10 year old daughter had been abducted and shortly after found deceased. During this time my ex and his family decided to also file for divorce and try to gain custody of my son.All the while also going to court for the person who murdered my daughter. This team of outstanding, caring ,attentive and sensitive group help me get through the 2 year battle myself and my son had to endure.Clearly they are extremely knowledgeable in every law area!To this day this team looks out for myself ,my son and my mom.I consider all of them friends ever since that first contact.I stop in occasionally just to say hi.That is the kind of caring you WILL not find at another firm!
