I used Victor to purchase my home a few years ago. He was suppose to do a title search (which I paid for) when I went to go sell my home there was a problem with a misdescription on my title. When I brought this concern to his attention he stated "mistakes happen.. good thing you have title insurance" this "mistake" could have cost me THOUSANDS of extra dollars from the hours my new lawyer had to put in, in order to right this mistake. I paid him good, hard earned money and he did not do his job. 0/10 would not reccomend.

I met Victor Hussein (Lawyer) on May 7,2015 for closing my home. I had my own lawyer that I dealt with in Kitchener but she is not doing real estate any more, so I was desperate to find a good lawyer who has good knowledge of real estate. I needed to find a lawyer asap as my closing day for home is within 30 days. When I met him yesterday, Victor seemed very nice and knowledgeable. He answered to all the questions that I and my husband asked. We both signed all the required papers that Victor or Victor's office prepared. The office was very clean as well. Victor and his office staffs(especially Irene) answered to all my questions promptly when I asked via e-mail as well. I do not have any bad things to say about this lawyer's office. My experience was very good so far.

I'm a first time home buyer and I had the worst experience using this “law office". If it even deserves that title. They set up my first appointment during my lunch hour the day before my closing day. They screwed up the calculation for my closing amount. They totally forgot to add the remaining down payment of the house. I was the one that discovered the error and not them. I had to go in on my closing day to give them the difference. They totally forgot get me more information about a debt that I had to buy under the house. I was totally fooled by the seller to take on a debt linked to the house under a rental clause. This lawyer failed to make this process any easier. They failed to provide me enough information until the last few hours on the closing day. This made me miss my closing day and now I have to pay every day for an extension. The lady at this office has a serious power trip. The lawyer don't do any actual work. I doubt he's even in the office. He just has his clerks do all the work for him, hence all the screw ups. This would be the last law office I would recommend to anyone in the world. You're better off getting a phony law degree online. Stay away.

You get what you pay for..disappointing..Terrible experience here. Rude & uninterested staff. They are very unorganized which makes more headaches for you as a client when comes down to closing day it won't go smooth.. Hussein Law closed for me on my first real estate purchase back in June. The firm ended up providing the closing amount the afternoon before the closing date, and told me I was required to drop off a bank draft the next morning by 10:30am. As I bank with non-conventional banks (Tangerine), this did not provide me enough time to request for a draft. Even if a client did use conventional banks, between the afternoon and the next morning, it's only a window of a few business hours. During the signing appointment, I asked Victor about the complications of postponing the closing date, he explained that it is not a big deal since typically, the bank would ask that I cover the interest from the initial closing date (~$50). At the end of my appointment, I wanted to confirm this, and that's when he explained that there may be additional lawyer fees as the adjustment amounts would have to be calculated again. When another lawyer at Hussein Law (Kari) called to explain, she informed me that adjustment amounts from the seller's lawyer were received just 0.5hr before my signing appointment at 4:30pm. I pointed out that the fax stamp actually indicated 11am, to which she responded, "I was only instructed to tell you so." I do understand that the adjustment amounts were held up at the seller's lawyer's end, however, it is Hussein's Law's job to follow up to ensure a smooth closing process for their own clients. As there were existing tenants in there at the time, they did not provide the tenant information for me to collect rent on time, and did not provide a mailbox key. When inquired, they said they will check with the condo corp on the mailbox key, however, this never happened as I was never provided with an answer. EDIT: Fast forward to Oct 2017, I receive a poorly structured email with many grammical errors from an "attorney" hired by the Hussein Law Office, asking me to consider removing this negative comment. The email seems to have been generated by an algorithm with many keywords from this review; the phone number, postal code, and city in the signature all pointed to different locations in the US and Canada. I also noticed that around this time, there were a lot of positive reviews added, which resulted in a jump from 2.7 to 4 stars.

I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by this law firm. When I purchased a townhouse with an extra parking spot included, they forgot to draw up the documentation to transfer over the parking spot. I e-mailed and called their office at the beginning of Oct 2015 to have them correct this oversight. The documents were drawn up late 2015, at which point I asked them to make sure they send a copy to my condo corp. I have since followed up on numerous occasions, both through e-mail and by phone. It is now May 5th, 2016 and they have still not forwarded the documents. I was told many times that they've assigned my case to a new person but never heard back. They are incompetent, disorganized, do not follow up, absolutely horrid service!

I purchased my first home with Victor Hussein's law office 6 years ago, and everything went pretty smoothly. Recently I wanted to sell my home, so I called Victor and he agreed to represent me in my home sale. Several weeks before the closing date, when I called him again to confirm that if everything is in order, he suddenly told me that he can no longer represent me as my lawyer, given he's now representing the buyer. You can imagine how shocked I felt when he told me that. I was in the midst of moving to a new city and changing to a new job, so every second was accounted for. I was especially upset because I was a return customer; but instead of caring about loyalty, Victor chose money (representing the buyer will get him more money). Anyways, I gave him two stars because the first time working with him was good; the second time, not so much. I would not recommend him to anyone. He may or may not screw you, but he's not a moral person and I would not trust him ever again.

I should give the negative not even one star. The lawyer is yelling at me and my husband. It is rude. On the closing date, the lawyer still have a lot of work he should have done days ago. He should have contact the bank, the property tax, and the realtor. Not on the closing date and telling me that he has not received anything. It is ridiculous. That I paid him and he did nothing.

Disclaimer: the lawyer that handled my file was Jessica Sipione, who I don't believe actually owns the firm so that explains the lack of effort and consideration. My father barely speaks English and he asked me to help and translate what the company was looking for. I have no knowledge about transferring property over to new owners and I did not study law. I informed them in an email that I was also new to this and I needed more clarification. I called Christina Pawliszyn (apparently my lawyer) as instructed, and she was just rude, interrupts me, and put me on hold without even informing me. She didn't hear me out and proceeds to say she needs to go to a meeting and I can call her back. I do not recommend this place if you want to be treated like a human being. Worst experience ever. EDIT: I've received a phone call today (Mon.Jun. 4) from Christina and Victor. Christine gave me her sincerely apology and I also spoke to Victor. He was very accommodating and he listened to both sides of the story. All I wanted was an explanation as to what my dad was being charged for, and Victor went above and beyond to accommodate us under this circumstances. He made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you for that, Victor. I really appreciate it.
