My experience was 3 years ago, me and couple of friends of mine were referred to him. So our impression was, that he was not polite and over his head. I had a bad feeling on my guts. After time, his assistant was nice and everything but not so much. They failed to inform me that I got a notice from the Immigration that my case was eligible to be expedited and to submit documents. No one called me from that office even though IRCC sent them a letter. If it wasn't for the lucky call I made on behalf of a friend to inquire about his issues, I wouldn't have known. After submitting the documents, his office lied to me that they faxed the doc to IRCC while they had it for more than 2 weeks. But thank God, my case was approved by some miracle. These couple weeks I had to visit his office acting on behalf of a friend, nothing has changed. Same guy I know. I know more than 15 people who are not pleased by this office's way of handling refugees. and most of them switched lawyers. I can't talk on their behalf but I see the same vibe when his name comes up. I would never refer anyone to him or even consider it.

In the early months of 2021 I found myself in a bad situation with my firearms being confiscated by the police through a misunderstanding. Through a lot of research and consultations I found Mr. Segal. I chose him as he was an avid outdoorsman as well and really understood my unfortunate situation. He has always made time to answer any questions I may have and will always give me an honest answer. Halfway through my matter, Mr. Segal started his new firm which was well deserved. Shimon served as both a knowledgable professional and an enormous support during a scary time of confusion, uncertainty, and overall distress. Shimon didn’t just provide me legal counsel, he returned my dignity and peace - for which I am forever grateful. If you are seeking a lawyer, I can’t recommend him enough.
