Simply can't say enough about Norm Yusim. In hopes my write up can do him justice. I used Norm for legal matters pertaining to my coming marriage (pre nup, etc.). He was highly recommended by one of the most successful businessmen in Winnipeg, actually, global and proudly places our city on the map. Norm from start to finish went to the moon and back for me. My situation wasn't normal and was extremely difficult. Norm was full of experience, spunk, care, kindness, and he possessed a supreme level of morals and values. A good man, family man, who is extremely intelligent and will fight with passion for you and what is right. He can astonish what can be accomplished in law, with his years of experience, intelligence, vigorous fight, yet being compassionate and a true gentleman. Sofia Mirza was hired by my employer to assist with the legal legwork of my work permit which would allow me to practice medicine in Winnipeg. This was a real challenge, as the bulk of the work was done during the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sofia was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable and the process was seamless. Sofia Mirza is one of the best immigration lawyers in Winnipeg and she is very knowledgeable regarding all the immigration details. My employer hired Sofia Mirza to file my Work Permit application and she was amazing. As she gave a fantastic service, I got my work permit without any issues in 2019. I was impressed and later I hired her to file my family visa (Spouse open work permit and visa for my children) and she filed on behalf of me. Now I got the visa for my kids and my spouse too, so I am really happy. I can say she is fantastic and she follows the work ethics without any doubt. Sofia Mirza helped me with my work permit coming to Canada from the States, and the unprecedented circumstances of this process as a result of the COVID19 global pandemic, there is zero question to me that it would have even been possible without her expertise, experience, counsel, and guidance. My common law partner used them last year and his divorce cost twice as much as mine, almost more. They had so many unnecessary costs it was ridiculous. If I hadn't been through a divorce I would not have known otherwise in terms of extra costs and avoidable charges. Please, please do NOT use their "services".

This company doesn't care about its smaller clients. I contacted FR to help me in retrieving certain documents and transcripts from a provincial court (something any paralegal, law student or just a sane person can do, but I wanted to hire someone who knows what s/he's doing). Big mistake. I was given a 9 page docket information sheet instead, and then they stopped responding to my emails. If you don't have a few millions allotted for your litigation budget, take your business some place else.

To start, I wish I could rate 10 out of 5 stars, Sofia is one of the good ones, she helped My fiancé and me through the most difficult time (COVID) to see each other, where as we haven’t seen each other for over 8 months. Sofia has been amazing, helpful and made the whole process possible through her knowledge, but the most amazing part about it, she was supportive, kind and trustworthy. Sofia’s assistant, Kate was also very proactive and professional with all of her responses, we would love to extend our gratitude to both Sofia and Kate for making this possible. At every step and every question my fiancé and I had, Sofia was there to help us, we were very lost in the beginning and we did not know when we would see each other again. However, I can safely assume there is a large error in their system (from the reception desk) to open and close requests.

I got to know about Sofia Mirza through a conversation with a friend who got her permanent residency over a year ago. I vividly remember that almost every month there was a response from IRCC in which they asked my friend to do several things. In many instances her prospects of getting her PR seemed daunting. There were many crying moments from her. Yet, she spoke about “her lawyer” as if she belonged only to her. She explained that ‘her lawyer’ was a good listener and was proactively supplying all the necessary information to the IRCC. She felt that her lawyer was professional and offered encouragement and support in which she benefited not only to get her PR but emotionally as well since navigating through the immigration process can be stressful. I had already submitted my documents to IRCC so in my mind I did not need a lawyer. However, little did I know that I needed a lawyer when my application was not favorable. Many lawyers and consultants were suggested but I remembered my friend’s conversation about “her lawyer” and finally got a name and number for Sofia. I never met Sofia, not even by zoom, but I felt after explaining my immigration problems she cared and understood the urgency of my application. There were several calls and emails between us as she tried to get all the information. From my experience with Sofia, I feel confident to describe her as a meticulous, dedicated, determined, caring and optimistic person. If you are in need or know of anyone who has to apply to immigration, call Sofia! It is best to get someone who knows the immigration laws, someone who is caring and concerned about your situation.
