Even tho it's not part of their mandate and goes against it as confirmed through legal aid and local MLA and councilors I was told by them it was a conflict of interest for them to help me because someone mentioned my name to them . They are not representing anyone in a court of law so it is not conflict of interest. Long story short not very helpful at all

Loved it. Another place set up to maintain the illusion that the law matters here. They had nothing really valuable for me. I guess sending ne to the Ombudsman was a cute way to help me understand that if I don't like that money is available for paralegals to sit around and answer a phone and read out of pamphlets to stead for legal advice, I could contact someone who's job it is to care???? So cute. The Ombudsnan is another course in itself and they give you a time limit to formulate your concern in the right format, forwarded to, blah blah blah. K. Well. You'll be included in the, 'what led to J's very public suicide' due about 2022. Congratulations, fxxko.????

This is an excellent service that offers free legal advice. They connect you with a lawyer who is often very friendly and will at the very least point you in the right direction. If you are in a difficult position and require legal advice to know how to move forward but don't have the money to hire a lawyer to ask them questions this is a great service. I often use it in my work with financially strained families.
