I started with 5stars as I am usually very generous, but they have tested my patience to its limits. They made an error with asking for wrong insurance amount , which made me be on call with 4 insurance companies for 3 days. As no insurance company covers such high insurance. No one called to apologize, to realize lawyers were asking for a some thing unreasonable. Second I have been asking them to explain me the break down of charges , emails are not clear with break down. I wish this was my first experience with a real estate lawyer and I had nothing to compare to, but they are doing a horrible job. They are doing a even worse job for not accepting a mistake, apologizing and correcting it. Learn to say sorry guys!

We used REL for the purchase of a new home. Always very responsive via email and everything proceeded smoothly on closing day. The rate also offered good value compared to the other lawyers we reached out to. It would have been nice to have a phone call at the beginning to have a better sense of the process and the people who are handling such an important transaction, but this wasn't a major issue. We give lots of credit to a great real estate agent who helped us be proactive on a few items that could have caused us headaches upon closing. For example, the seller was reluctant to provide any info about the rented hot water tank. We didn't even know the company the contract was with and didn't feel comfortable closing without this info. The lawyers were passive on this issue saying that they requested it, but it wasn't provided which they said sometimes happens. It was our real estate agent that stayed on the seller's agent until this info was provided on the last business day before closing. Not sure what the lawyer's course of action would have been if this wasn't provided, but glad it didn't come to that. Overall I'd recommend realestatelawyers.ca.
