Absolutely recommend this law firm. My partner and I worked with Summer and she was absolutely amazing. She went over and above what we expected, spent countless hours finding out information that I had no idea I even had. Absolute disgrace, multiple spelling mistakes with families names steady on same sentence while written the correct way on the following, this is totally unacceptable in court. Absolute 0 follow up and horrible lengthy time. Would never recommend this firm.

Alyson Sweetlove was the lawyer for my late aunt and uncle and also the lawyer for the executors of their estates. Her conduct in both roles was appalling. I complained to the Law Society about her behaviour and in November 2017 the LSO found that she:- . 1. Had not met the standard of a competent solicitor in drafting wills and powers of attorney for my aunt and uncle 2. Had acted when she had a conflict of interest between her duty to my uncle and to the executors of my aunt’s estate. 3. Had acted improperly by following the executors’ direction to “disburse funds from one estate to pay the expenses of another estate” and in doing so had misapplied trust funds. . To elaborate on Point 3, Alyson followed the executors’ instructions to use 1/3 of our aunt’s estate assets, $65,000+, to pay the bills of our uncle’s estate. This benefited the executors because they received a larger share of our uncle’s estate. Additionally, it provided the executors with a piggybank from which to pay $25,000 in litigation lawyer fees to fight my motion to account for their expenditures! . The Law Society handled the matter in a Regulatory Meeting so it does not show up in Alyson Sweetlove’s discipline history. The report can be found by checking LSO page on Regulatory Meetings or the Dec 15, 2017 Ontario Reports. . The Law Society review concluded that Alyson Sweetlove was unlikely to conduct herself like this again and concluded that no further action was required. I do not share the LSO’s confidence.
