Jennifer MacDonald, hands down, was amazing to work with! She is amazing at simplifying complex legal terms into simple and understandable concepts. She saved me a lot of time and stress dealing with matters within Halifax Provincial Court, during what is an un-precendented chaos that resulted by the Covid19 pandemic. She is very organized, punctual, professional, and kept me informed and updated as scheduling was juggled and things were changed last minute. Her composure in the courtroom was confident, to the point, and concise. Jennifer also appeared to have a very good rapport, and synergized very well with the Judges, crown, and clerks which made things go smooth and seamlessly. She was able to close all of my files with optimal results, I am extremely satisfied, and thoroughly impressed by her legal prowess. On top of everything she was really nice and easy to work with, no confusion or stress. I shall recommend her to anyone needing counsel in her field of expertise, without a shred of doubt. 10/10

As one of the highest profile cases in Nova Scotia which attracted worldwide attention, I was recently acquitted and got my reputation back. I could not have asked for a better lawyer, the dedication and preparation going into the trial, not many people would be happy to go to trial on their own with an option to adjourn due to the co-accuses ill health I was in the best place to go ahead, it was daunting but the reassurance and professionalism which was commented on by the justice sitting my trial. I met with Ian a few times; at first he seemed to have an interest in my case; after he got my money, he would not return my phone calls or answer my emails. as my court date approached, I was very worried as I had not heard from him; when he did not show up in court, my case ended up being delayed. I had to get a new lawyer and complain to the law society to get my money back; I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone.
