This man made a horrible mess of my case. He is basically a failure and a law student 3 years out of law school and has a lot to learn about the real world. I had no idea what I was getting involved with for his “discounted” rate. He had absolutely NO conviction to even try or to fight for my rights. Quite frankly he should have been on the other side representing my ex wife. He was more worried about his “ reputation” with opposing counsel and the judge than to represent my children’s interests and mine. He was all about money and didn’t care to even respond to questions I would ask him in emails. He constantly refused requests to complain about improper things my ex was doing not letting me have access or phone calls at times and even directly disobeying judges orders. He was too busy with his higher paying trials and at one time would have left me with no access whatsoever if I hadn’t of suggested writing to my ex’s counsel to schedule a 3 hour weekly supervised visit last summer. He had me sign documents under duress that I didn’t want to and refused to make changes I requested. When negotiating my settlement the whole process was a complete sham. I was actually able to negotiate a better deal myself with my ex over the house for 40k more and at one point he even tried to pressure me to sign with NO provisions for access to my kids. Sure there may be reviews on here from women who love his service. Women are the hands down favorites in family court. But take an under dog dad like myself needing abit of help and forget it. His main concern was retainer retainer retainer money money money. On phone calls he would never let me talk even at times yelled at me. In court he was like a little kid. Not even challenging or defending the other lawyers attacks. Like basic law 101. He made important mistakes in releasing important evidence to the other side that was used against me and......I could go on endlessly with what this man has done to me but I have complaints against him with the Law Society of Upper Canada and the government as well. Want some advice stay away from this train wreck and get someone with at least 15-20 yrs experience you can talk to who will show conviction for your cause. I literally bent over backwards for this man and his wife doing work for them at their home because I do renovations and all he could do was abandon my cause when the going got tough and at one point even threatened to take me to court so that he could be released from the case. Not sure how he ever passed his bar exams, I feel sorry for others like me this person is going to make a complete mess of their affairs in the future.
