We reached out to Pilkington law firm in August of 2019 for assistance applying for my partner's work permit, permanent residency, and eventual citizenship. At first we were nervous about the immigration process, but after a quick consultation with Brian and Evelyn, we were shown a relatively-quick and financially-viable path forward. Although Pilkington Law Firm took care of most of the heavy lifting, sometimes we needed to submit something to the government ourselves. Thankfully, Evelyn was always available to answer questions and help guide us to ensure everything was submitted correctly -- she was amazing! Throughout the 1.5 year process, there were a couple times where we requested a few edits. Thankfully, Evelyn and the team responded professionally and with patience and made certain that we were 100% confident with our immigration package before it was submitted. It is now a year and a half later from our initial consultation, and my partner is happily working full-time and a proud permanent resident of Canada. Soon my partner will be eligible for her citizenship, and we will be reaching out to Evelyn, Andrew, and Brian to help us with this important and exciting step in our lives. Wow. I was in utter shock when I got off the phone with Andrew. I was looking for a simple consultation on how to get my immigration process started and he was unbelievably rude on the phone. He acted as though I was a complete burden to him when I was already willing to pay to sit down to talk with him in person instead of just asking questions over the phone. He kept saying "I don't know what to tell you" so obviously he has no idea what he is doing. Definitely don't recommend trying to work with him.

A very unprofessional firm. Don't ask them for any advice on immigration because they won't give you any. I went to the website of Pilkington Law Firm Regina, Saskatchewan and asked for an appointment online to discuss the possible immigration of my brother to Saskatchewan, Canada or maybe sponsor him since I am a Saskatchewan Resident and Saskatchewan residents can sponsor their siblings. Instead, I received a phone call from Guelph, Ontario. Listen to the conversation I had with him and please note that I had not provided any information about my brother online. "Hello, you wanted your brother to be immigrated to Canada". I said, Yes. He said, "Well, you can't do it. There is no way". I said, "but I thought Saskatchewan residents could even sponsor their siblings to Canada". He said, "No. No. Nope, Not Possible". I said, "ok, but can he apply for immigration". He said, "No he can't". I said, "Is there any way his immigration can be done". He said, "No, there is no way". And he hung up the phone without providing any explanation or giving any free consultation which they claim to give on their website. There have been some further developments to my one month old review of Pilkington Law Firm. They still don't understand anything about the customer services. They think I am being unfair with my one star review. They believe I am acting like their paid customer to give them such a review (as if I don't have a right to give an online review of an experience I had). Moreover, they explained how frequently they get those kind of questions from people everyday. Therefore, they don't have time to answer them for everybody. Well, I can give you one more star for trying to reach out to me. That is the best I can do. If I were you. I would call the person who gave a bad review and instead of constantly defending myself and proving him wrong. I would simply say, "I am sorry we started on the wrong foot in our previous conversation and you gave me a bad review. I am listening, please tell me how can I help you". At the end I would say, " I would appreciate if you could remove the review".

Horrible place to go for immigration help! Horrible service! The only thing they were quick to get back to you on was when it’s time to pay and that’s it! Andrew Maloney passes everything on to assistants that don’t have a clue what they are doing! Cause my wife to go out of status making it harder for my other lawyer to fix. I added another lawyer due to there lack of response and just entire process that was always slow and hard to get ahold of them. Stay away! Andrew is always impatient and very rude when calling unless it’s to discuss payments! I even went and see him and was very rude in his own office talking condescending as if we should know the immigration laws etc... Assistants would get fired and then no notice to you at all next thing you know someone else is working on it and never was advised causing issues. They did get a few things done for sure to be honest but messed up making us wait to apply for new visitor record as the work permit expired before the visitor record causing her to lose status instead of applying when we called. Causing more headaches! Glad I went with a different lawyer that was local vs continued dealings with Andrew. I just had bad vibes after some stuff was taken care of due to the lack of communication and basically rude condescending attitude.

He gets the money and just never answer and return our calls. We were passed around different lawyers (Mandeep was nice) we dont know who were working on Our PR, even the stuff Evelyn and Elizabeth were hard to contact. Emailed all of them including Andrew but it takes time for them to get back. We drove all the way to guelph to see Andrew but instead being sarcastic and mad.We patiently waited due to the amount we paid full for our application but sucks We end up looking for different lawyer who continued our PR application. We didnt get our money back for cancelling our application online, on a work permit extension application they did.. They dont care the and respect clients who need immigration problems, they care how much you can give $$$$$. Seeking immigration lawyer is not CHEAP!!

Pilkington did a great job with helping us to obtain permanent residency through inland spousal sponsorship. We retained them while we were still in Europe, we had worries about coming into the country but they were able to provide us with a document for border agents to relieve that worry. We finally were able to apply on February 13, 2019 after a couple months of gathering documents and we received a decision by the end of July on our case. We landed a week later in Etobicoke and received the PR card in the mail on August 21. The process was as stress free as we could hope for. At one point we were asked for additional documents to prove cohabitation and Evelyn was great helping with what to submit. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It’s as if he didn’t want my business My sister had called the office on my behalf in the morning because I was at work and explained the situation to however answered the phone and mentioned that we have questions about my spouse sponsorship and that we would like to book an apppointment for a consultation . Then later during the day I get the call from Mr Maloney asking me to talk to the person who wanted a consultation . We used the Pilkington Law Firm to apply for a spousal sponsorship for Permanent Residency. Andrew was always prompt to return our emails. He happily answered our questions and clarified the process for us. He was upfront with his costs. But occasionally other unexpected costs did occur such as translations for paperwork. The immigration process does take forever, but on no part of the lawyer, it is because of the process with the government. We were happy with our service and will use this law firm again to renew our PR card.
