I had a half hour consultation with him, and he charged me $430 for it. He gave me no information that I didn't already know from Google and from OTHER lawyers, lawyers that did not charge me for that initial meet to see if I had a case. Don't pay him a thing until you've agreed to let him represent you. Young people are taken advantage of WAY too often, we need to stay saying no.

Peter said during our meeting I would (not "could") get $100K (for wrongful dismissal from a company where I had worked for 11 and half years). Got me only $30K, out of which he pocketed $10K. Does not know how to negotiate at all. Did not fight at all. So essentially after waiting for 10 months, I took home $20K when this was could have been a much bigger settlement. I had to pay a $2500 retainer upfront which he said would be refunded to me in the end as they deduct their fees from settlement offer. However, Peter did not send me my $2500 back until I had to ask for it. When he did send it back, he said "he didn't recall saying to me he would refund it". So not only is he untrustworthy, but also arrogant. Plus, his office is full of unfriendly, obnoxious staff. Basically did not do any work. My detailed statement got us to the arbitration stage, where Peter failed to do his job and negotiate a decent settlement.

I am sure Peter is nice and professional. The lady answering the phones, on that day is Rude, hypocritical, and should just listen to what the potential clients need to say, and not brush them off basically with her attitude. Sorry Peter. I was hoping you could help me , but couldn't even get to talk to you after being put down and overwhelmed by the price of $450 for an hour and potentially dealing with her again.
