Nice people, great customer service, willing to make deals and half decent prices. Very happy with Blairs used Furniture. I went to shwartz down town Glace Bay and got quoted 800.00 for a mattress and 200.00 for a box spring with no frame. I go to Blairs and for the exact same bed brand new with the frame i paid 540.00 taxes in. Very big difference espeacially with the covid pandemic going on Money is short. Very happy with Blairs and the people running it. Great job guys.

We lost everything in the flood a couple years ago and got a lot of replacement furniture here instead of buying new. Most of the new stuff you get now is cheap mdf garbage. Everything I got a Blairs was real wood and cheaper. He gave us a few hundred dollars off and free delivery. Can't say enough good about Blair.

I used to do business with Blair. It seems he is happier to sit in his office than deal with customers. I went in to buy a desk the other day. Not expensive but I needed it. They wanted $40.00 to deliver it less than 5 blocks! Then this supposedlly salesman goes into a rant about cost. I guess it must be cheaper to have his staff sit around and do nothing than make a few bucks. I put a $50 deposit on a chair a few months ago but ended up ill and couldnt get it. There was no mention of my $50. GOOD WORK BLAIR, I HOPE YOU CAN DISCOURAGE ALL PEOPLE FROM DOING BUSINESS WIT SUCH A SAD STORE. Peter

Friendly service from a professional and courteous staff. There is a large variety of well made quality furnishings and appliances in a spacious showroom located centrally in Glace Bay. We are from out of town and were searching for a recliner for a birthday gift for my father-in-law and we found exactly what we needed at a great price. This guy obviously paid for a few 5 star reviews. He's a well known and hated scammer around here who takes heavy garbage and kijiji freebies, fixes them up with the bare minimum and tries to sell the trash for more than retail. Since he's paying for false positive reviews since NO ONE around here has anything good to say about the scammer, I'll be sure to let the people who warned me of him before he tried (and failed miserably) to scam over 800$ from me for 300$ worth of appliances (300$ is generous) he also repeatedly called harassing me when I told him gtfo and he wasn't getting my business at all until I told him I'll go to his shop and have a word in person. Then the tail tucked and he stopped go figure. Never give this business revenue of any kind, worst furniture store in Canada! You can literally walk around his store googling cheaper and brand new everything he has.

My sister and I had the pleasure of dealing with Blair and his staff while furnishing a home for a family member. Salesmen were very helpful but not pushy and allowed us to finish the job in about an hour. I thought the prices were reasonable and we were able to get a bit of a deal given the number of pieces we bought. There was a bit of an issue with the delivery but Blair stepped in, fixed the problem and called me himself once everything had been delivered and set up. This is much better service than I ever got from Sears which may be part of the reason why they’re gone. I have no problem recommending Blair’s to anyone looking for reasonably priced, used furniture.

We got a really good deal on dressers in bulk got 16 dressers like 3 years ago and they are still solid and working great 100$ each for slightly used office furniture with metal drawers I went looking in Sydney in every new furniture store dressers press wood cardboard bottoms 1000$ each lol we got 16 for less than the price of two Going to go check for some mattresses soon he had good deals on those too

I have empathy for Mr. Townsend's bad experience 2 years ago. I sense it was the new salesperson who was responsible for Mr. Townsend's behaviour on that day. I plan to visit this Used Furniture store in due course and I'll be able to personally assess whether there has been a change in staff attitude and whether the prices are fair. I believe that the owner might have personally telephoned Mr. Townsend to come in and he would rectify the problem. In business, the customer is always right no matter what. The owner needs to find a right way to satisfy all customers. Yes, there are always two sides to a story but then there is "the truth". I'm rating a two star simply noting the owner replied but might have done better. It is my perception, that both are at fault and the employee needs training in personal relations with customers. Would you kindly post how you prepare these items for sale during Covid-19 and the cleanliness of your delivery vehicle? With thanks and respect, M. Thank you for allowing me to post.
