I wouldn’t recommend their real estate services at all. After a couple months of almost no progress on a sale I switched to another law firm and they did more in a week than Central Law did in months. They blamed the vendors law firm for delays and the vendors law firm blamed them. Simple changes to documents would take up to a week to correct for me to be able to review and sign. I was hopeful that they were working on getting everything done and that they were just unresponsive, but eventually in a conversation with someone else buying a home they also complained about central laws services as they were the firm selling the home. They were having similar issues with central law blaming their lawyer and saying to the vendor they were waiting on her. Thats when I decided to call the office manager and complain about the situation I was in and managed to get a refund of my retainer. When they transferred documents to my new lawyer and all they had was a document I signed months prior and didn’t even have the vendors signature which shows they truly didn’t put any effort into the sale. Im not sure if they just have too many clients to handle or just don’t care about their clients, but unless everything is placed on their desk for them I wouldn’t trust them to make the phone calls required to acquire the information. They might be good defence lawyer’s because they have a natural ability to put blame on others.

Recently did a real estate transaction and I was not very impressed. As a first time homebuyer, I expected more guidance than I received. Only spoke to Gerald himself a couple times and he was very helpful however most of my dealings with his assistant Cora were painfully unhelpful. Had to ask the same questions numerous times to get a roundabout answer that still didn't resolve my query. Had to constantly ask for updates up to and including closing day and then past closing day. Will not use this firm again.

I recently arrived at Central law in Gander for an appointment I had confirmed by email. Upon arriving I was told I could not meet with a lawyer, my appointment was days earlier, and that I did not reply to confirm the appointment for the day that I had arrived. When indeed I had. The lady then insisted I was wrong. I actually had to retrieve my phone from my car and show the conversation to prove I indeed did agree to meet on that day, on that time days earlier. I live 1hr out of town.
