I wrote a review about this law firm but ended up taking it down after an email we received from him. It's not sitting well with me not telling our experience with this firm. We went in to see Alex under the impression that his fee would be $150. He had written us an email and in the email it said 'the fee was $150' nothing else. When it came time to pay Alex decided to tell us the $150 did not include the tax. Now listen the tax was not the issue but the way Alex dealt with the situation was not pleasant. He clearly quoted $150 but decided tax was not included in the fee he quoted which is very misinformating. When we asked why all the sudden he didn't tell us in the email about the tax being not included in the quote he told us to take it up with Justin Trudeau. When I wrote my first review. Alex emailed us 20 minutes after telling us we don't qualify for legal aid discount and when we called legal aid they said we do indeed qualify. I am very curious as to how someone with 4 star review would behave this unprofessionaly

Back in August 2020, life threw me a curve ball. My employer announced its intention to terminate our work agreement by the end of that week. A meager severance payment was attached to the separation notice at no extra charge. Attempts to negotiate a better severance directly with the employer failed; my demands were labeled as “unrealistic”. However, as I am writing this, in December 2020, a better settlement than the one I could not get directly is headed for my bank account. This is Attorney’s Jean-Alexandre doing. He took the time to explain to me the benefits of a settlement compared to the court payment order I was seeking, while keeping the court option open as a last resort. More importantly, he explained this concept in a compelling manner to the employer’s counsel, who in turn persuaded his client (my ex-employer) to become a lot more reasonable. Personally, I am very satisfied with the current result. Attorney Jean-Alexandre represents the golden standard in employment law, a beacon of hope for all those that, like me, were dealt a significant injustice by the employers whom they served above and beyond their required duties for so many years. Alex De Bousquet represented me in my case against three security guards that ravished brutalized myself and my brother-in-law. After Alex caught and exposed all three security guards in their lies and made up stories, the judge ruled that "the security guards have completely fabricated a story that did not exist and that they were 100% at fault when the brutalized us. The security guards violated out civil rights and that they were the real criminals in this case." Where do I start? I am so grateful for Alex and how much he fought for me. I was referred to Alex by a close friend when I got let go from my job.
