I’ve had the absolute privilege of retaining Jaye Rutledge for my family court issues as well as my divorce. I’ve had one lawyer prior to her and it has been a night a day difference. Jaye has been on the ball with EVERYTHING! She knows family law very thoroughly and if she doesn’t have an answer for me, she digs deeper to find it and cites other cases relating to it and their outcomes. While we are not finished our cases in court, I have had the joy of working with her for the past 7 months (and going strong!) and she deserves all the praise. She is very quick to reply to emails and questions and quick to call if I request a phone chat. She is never late, and her and the whole legal team at MacLean Law FSJ are very proficient and diligent in their duties. 10/10 would hire again. The best family lawyer in northern BC!

Fraser MacLean was attentive to detail, relentless in his efforts and the Lawyer that I want in my corner in any family law matter. I trusted him with my only child’s future and it turned out to be not even a risky proposition. Having visited many lawyers prior to him I was very impressed with his eagerness to absorb every detail of my situation and to use all of the not insignificant resources at his disposal to prepare my case. He was able to quickly grasp the complex Parental Alienation in a toxic and hostile ex’s behaviours, absorb relevant expert testimony, and think quickly on his feet in trial, all while arguing clearly and effectively. With any luck I will never need another family lawyer again, but I would not hesitate an instant before calling Fraser if I did. I cannot recommend him enough. I felt comfortable and extremely grateful to have him represent me in court.

I cannot truly put my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service received at McLean Law in words. I came to them with an estate matter I was looking to settle and after several years and THREE lawyers passing my case off to each other, each billing me to familiarize themselves with the case. I kid you not when I say the only consistency I received was a bill. I put thousands down up front and after zero results and another lawyer pass off I had to go to opposing counsel to get an arrangement done. After this I received a bill for services provided. What services? If I could give no stars I would.
