In February 2015 my 83 year old father was hit by a car in a parking lot. He was hit so hard that his leg was broken and he was stuck in a wheelchair. Our family doctor suggested we hire a lawyer. We were referred to Rory Lambert. He came to my father’s house and took the time to get to know my dad. When we had concerns about the Occupational Therapist that ICBC hired, Rory came out and interviewed him at our house and then hired a replacement for us. Mr. Lambert was great to work with and my dad really liked him. Recently we have been back to Lambert Law to have my dad’s will updated. Rory is a solid lawyer. On the morning of July 21, 2014 I was riding my motorcycle on Emily Carr Drive when a Land Rover attempted a U-turn right in front of me. Her vehicle blocked the entire lane and I knew I could not avoid a collision so I had to put my bike down. It slid on the frame sliders striking the front of the Land Rover and I ended up landing on the road across from the front of the vehicle. My helmet was cracked and my bike was written off. Saanich Police investigated and determined that I was not responsible for the collision. I suffered a scaphoid fracture to my left hand, multiple abrasions, an impact injury to my knee, and fractures to T2, T3, T4, T5 vertebrate in my spine. I was in the navy and I expected that it would be my career for the rest of my life, but my injuries made that uncertain. I looked around for a lawyer and interviewed three of them. I picked Mr. Lambert because he took the trouble to come and meet me and genuinely showed an interest in helping me get my health back. Over the 3.5 years that he represented me I got to see him in action. He kept in regular contact with me and made sure that I understood what he was doing and how the legal process worked. Shortly after my collision, I had allowed I woman I had been dating for a short time to move in with me. It turned out that she was addicted to prescription narcotics. As a member of the military I have strong feelings about drug abuse and when I discovered the drugs and realized her odd behavior was likely drug related I asked her to move out. She got angry, damaged some of my property, and accused me of assaulting her. This lead to me being charged with assault and being forced out of my own apartment. Rory was also my lawyer in the criminal assault trial so I got to see how skilled he is in the court room. He showed that the woman was fabricating and the judge dismissed the charges against me. I was really impressed with his court room presence. When it became clear that I was not going to recover my health and that I was going to be discharged from the military Rory worked with me to put together all the parts of my case. He worked out all my losses from having to leave the military and what my future would likely look like in civilian life. Rory Introduced me to the experts he had hired to work on my claim. It was interesting to see how skilled they are in the own right. I gained a lot of insight about trial strategy from working with Rory and the experts. Rory secured an agreement with the adjuster and the ICBC defense lawyer to mediate my claim. As a result, I also saw how Rory worked in a mediation. It was interesting to watch him negotiate. He seemed to know just what to say and when to say it. I am extremely pleased that I chose Rory Lambert to be my lawyer. He is a highly skilled professional who cares. ICBC could learn a number of lessons on how to demonstrate empathy and to respond beyond procedural protocols to individual needs from this fella. Bit of back story: I work as photographer, I am a father of two, husband, artist and designer. Back in late summer of 2014 I was cut off by a distracted driver who turned right on me just after passing me on Dallas Rd. It was quite an impact. One that resulted in a few dents and scratches and a partially torn off passenger side mirror on the car. Me on the other hand along with my bike and photographic equipment were damaged. My body taking the brunt of the impact with car and pavement as result of coming to an abrupt halt - 30kmh to 0 in about 2 meters. The impact was heard from over 50 feet away as people ran to my assistance. My injuries would have me sidelined from my freelance work for close to three years while I received a range of physio, physical rehab and message therapy. CAT Scans, X-Rays .... anyway... my professional losses were complicated given the freelance nature of my work, and as opportunities lost were also difficult to put a number on.... My wife and I were rear ended on the Trans Canada highway in March of 2018. I had been in a previous collision on December 30, 2017 that my wife reported to ICBC. Even though I started treatment for my injuries from the December collision in early January, the adjuster refused to pay for my treatment prior to the March 2018 collision because my wife did not report that I was injured. ICBC took this position even though the physiotherapist and my family doctor noted that I was injured in the December 2017 collision. We hired Lambert Law and Rory was able to straighten things out for us. He made sure that ICBC paid for all our treatments and got us a fair settlement for injuries. He was also able to recommend a vehicle appraiser who was instrumental in negotiating with our private insurance company regarding damage to our Audi. Rory and his team were easy to deal with and generally kept us in the loop. I have no complaints about Lambert Law and would hire Rory and his team in the future if I ever need a lawyer.

When his staff were very nice to me less than an hour earlier......he has been reported to "the law society of BC" and i have a document awaiting my viewing from them within my email. I was Biking on the Galloping Goose Trail heading home. When I got to the Ardersier Road cross walk, I saw a car stopped to my right. In December 2016, I was travelling southbound on the Trans-Canada highway with my 2-year-old son strapped in his car seat along with my 9-year-old son. As I approached Veterans Memorial Parkway, I took the exit and slowed down to yield for traffic. In August 2016 I was riding my bicycle to work on the galloping goose. I was heading to town approaching Culduthel which is at the base of a rather long descent. At the point where the goose intersects Culduthel there is a stop sign for cross traffic and white hashmarks on the road.
