Then called to schedule an appointment and we were told we would get a call 2 days later for consult and an email would be sent with the details. Still haven't received a call back or an email, its been at least 3 weeks. We are not going to chase you down to give you money, was a simple permanent residence request, we are just to busy to do the paperwork ourselves and wanted to pay someone to do it for us. Horrible service , I haven't even met the lawyer I hired because he was in the middle east all the time and telling me a student lawyer will help me while he is busy with other client. Update: Mr Shawar calls me and demands me to take down the review these guys are very unprofessional stay stay away from these scammers. They will waste your time and money. So I went there for initial consultation which cost us $315 for 40 mins and our appointment was at 10 but when we reached there there was nobody to attend to us so we left bcz of their unprofessionalism. Then later Rebecca one of the lawyers called us and asked if we are coming for the appointment and I was like we were there but nobody attended us we were sitting there for 30 mins. But here comes the interesting part after talking and discussing our case with Rebecca she said that she would give us the quote in couple of days and couple of days later she calls up and says we can only start your process if you pay us $7000 upfront and I was like who has that kind of money just sitting home. Bottom line if you wanna waste your money and time then SHAWAR LAW is the place to go.

If there was a 0 i would give it to them. They made me pay $315 for my first appointment and i didn't even meet Eric Shawar instead we spoke on the phone. They made me pay $5500 for H&C ground rough draft which is just a form with another person, I believe they took advantage of my situation because i was stressed. I asked them to refund my money back but they refused despite that fact that they haven't submitted any of my documents. I used my saving's to pay them at first they asked me to pay $8500 but i told them i can only afford $5500. After i did my research which was too late with other immigration consultant they told me i can't be approve for PR under H&C since i still have strong ties back home and the fact that i just got back from my home country. They told me i could apply under H&C when reality i don't qualify as international student with post graduate work permit . This is a SCAM, please do your research & don't go to them they will take advantage of you and make you pay before they even do anything .The total fee is $10,500 ( all they do is print out forms that you can find online) & don;t explain in details. This are additional fees that you would have to pay for the government PR status application fee $550,right of PR fee $490 and Biometric fee $85 and medical fees. Nobody deserve to go what i went through .

You never meet the lawyer other than phone consultation, not sure whether you talking to a real lawyer or a ghost. On initial phone consultation with the help of his clerks promise you heaven but deliver hell. Very unprepared, defensive, and arrogant when you question his strategy for success. Due to some misunderstanding we missed interview for final determination but Eric took care everything and he sent an apology letter to CIC.. Though we never met him until we got PR, he was contstatly in touch with emails and phone calls. I would recommend his firm for any kind of immigration matter.
