Baerach made closing on my first house a very smooth and user-friendly process. The mountain of paperwork was a breeze to work through with him since he knew 99% of it from front to back, both forwards and backwards. Even when he discovered unpermitted work on the real property report two business days before the possession date, he offered excellent advice and kept my mind at ease (thankfully, everything was sorted out by the seller the day before possession). A week went by with no phone call, 2 weeks, then 5 weeks went by still no phone call. I tried 2nd attempt and put in a request to be contact on their website instead, leaving my name and number. They responded back to ask for more info so I gave it to them. I waited 4 days with no response so I followed up but the only short response I got back was "Sorry, we have no one to assist you in this matter". Yup, that's the entire content of that email. Very unprofessional service and no communication. A firm that advertise that they specialize in Corporate law yet surprisingly no one can can help with a business contract and no one have the time to call or email back to tell the customer this until they followed up?

I was looking for a lawyer to help us to have a tenant removed from a condo I own in Edmonton. My son's good friend is a lawyer at Dentons. He recommended someone who he thought would be a good choice. I called her, explained my situation and she said she is not up on landlord/tenant issues. She recommended Ryan Henriques. I called Ryan, and explained my problem. There were a couple of other issues, but the tenant was the key. Ryan took that challenge on. We communicated when either of us had some new knowledge. I gave some information to Ryan and he used it and the Landlord and Tenant Act to evict the our tenant. This was done in a very efficient manner. The reception staff were also good to work with.

Lukewarm is the impression that I have after hiring this firm. I never felt that energy or enthusiasm were part of the lawyers portfolio. In my opinion he seemed overwhelmed in the actual courtroom and I had the impression that he was steamrolled over by a more experienced lawyer on the other team. My lawyer at Prowse Chowne was friendly, but in the courtroom I felt he needed to show more aggression and tenacity. Anyhow, I hope he used this experience as a learning opportunity and to be better prepared for future clients. The front desk staff were always courteous and polite, very pleasant. After mulling this over for a year I have felt less and less warmth towards how this case was handled. I feel the lawyer on my side was underwhelming and poorly suited for the task at hand. He didn't do any rebuttal or cross questioning and his closing remarks were trifling at best. My impression is no doubt coloured by the judges decision, which was not in our favour.

Baerach Anderson was very pleasant to work with! He made us feel at ease, explained all the documents we had to sign for the purchase of our home, and answered our questions without making us feel foolish. We experienced absolutely no awkwardness about being visibly queer. There was some delay in funds being released from the mortgage company, and Baerach kept us in the loop by email while dealing with all of that for us, and it was resolved within a few hours. Overall it was as easy an experience as it could possibly have been.
