I am giving no stars because this attorney should not be allowed to practice law. Even as a court appointed attorney, he is supposed to provide the best legal care possible. I am not blaming him for my conviction and 3 year prison sentence because I feel it is what I needed to get myself straightened out. What I am blaming him for is allowing fines to accrue and not notifying my husband or me this would happen. When I called his office for assistance for these fines that have accrued late fees while I had been incarcerated, I was told by his secretary that "he WAS court appointed" and" he's not going to do anything for free". The sad part is, had he just made ONE phone call to my husband to let him know these late fees would accrue in addition to my fines over the course of 3 years I was incarcerated, my husband would have been able to pay it to avoid all this. Now the courts are saying I owe triple, it holds me up from getting my drivers license, and attorney Dawson is unwilling to help all because he was court appointed and "he's not going to do anything for free". If this is his attitude of indifference toward court appointed cases, he should not be allowed to be in this pool because he does not care about his clients.

I'll go in the place at 3:31 afternoon waited 28 minutes why he and his secretary was in the office in the back talkin and no one at all even come and greeted me at the door no one knowledge me, or cared I was their . very dissatisfied with the service to start with much less to even have one represent me

Mr. Dawson dose not follow up well with his clients. He will tell you about how he will fight for you, and he may not win your case the first time, But that he will not stop until he wins!!! He will get your money and quite before the job is done. He sent me a letter in the mail to let me know he was not representing me anymore. Jody Grimes

Terrible. Took 300 dollars for showing up just to continue my case. A. Week into talking still no word from the lawyer. Only paralegals . And one had a attitude the last time I talked to her. And told me it would be 2500 dollars to do one case..... Went to the DMV and payed off a ticket I owed 2 years ago and that cost 500 bucks and went to the DMV and got my license back 2 weeks after.. All they all are scam artist trying to get your money

Hired Mr. Dawson back in the early 90's to represent my son who was a minor and obviously innocent of charges. Obvious to everyone except King Police Dept. and the Stokes County Prosecutor and Judge A. Moses Massey. Three times these symbols of "social order and justice for all" had us in court as law enforcement kept changing the dates of my son's alleged offense. Each time he was with family and his whereabouts documented by the man who ran races at the track where my son competed. Mr. Dawson's patience and determination in ridding my son of these bogus charges was inspiring as he argued the case. My gratitude toward Mr. Dawson will only die when I die. As for Stokes county, we moved to Forsyth County and the sun never sets on my back in Stokes. Thank you Mr. Dawson!

If I could give less than one star I would. Hired him to get my fiance's jail credit. Was told he would work on it. He did "research" that I could have done myself. Then when I figured out the problem called them back and was told that it would be a totally different case for him to actually get my fiance's jail credit. This lawyer is totally useless. Charges to.do absolutely nothing!!!!
