I went there to gift the down payment to my kids start them off as homeowners. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER HAD . WE LEFT FEELING HORRIBLE MISTREATED . so, my wife and I went in and spoke with one of their Notaries. When we left, we figured we were set for them to handle the documents for the sale of our home. It is about 3 weeks from close and now our realtor says he received and email stating that Simpson is too busy and will not be able to assist. This is totally unacceptable as it was stated that they would do it for us and had the date weeks ago! That is extremely unprofessional, in my opinion!! Luckily our realtor was able to get us another Notary to close our sale. Well, thank you for reaching out Scott Simpson. I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to get the full story. I am sorry things did not work out but I greatly appreciate your apology. It felt sincere and is accepted. All the best to you moving forward.

They didn’t explain the notary fees properly and when I asked to have a brake down they just replied that it was from the Leander. Which it wasn’t from the Leander as I contacted them. It was the notary fees. It wouldn’t have been a problem if the person we were signing papers with explained it properly. They had told us that there would be no additional fees unless the Leander requested it for penalties , we knew this wouldn’t happen so we were fine. Then we got an additional bill and were confused to why.

You want a free pen and sloppy work this is the place for you. Aatif Nanji, signed the power of attorney, I paid the fee expecting it was done correctly and left. I doubled checked the document while in the elevator and noted the Notary stamp was not on the document, It was corrected and left. Sloppy work and a free pen

I arrived at their office and was left waiting several minutes past my appointment time with no explanation then the notary arrived and stamped and filled out my papers in the sloppiest, most unprofessional way possible. My 9 yr old could have done a better job, literally. Like a 5 yr old scrawling out of the lines.

Very disappointed with them as I had called on June 23rd to get them to handle the closing of my sale on the recommendation of my realtor. I was under the impression that things were moving along, until I got a call this morning, July 9th, 17 DAYS LATER! That they had apparently been contacted by the buying party before me and they weren't comfortable with them handling both the purchase and sale. I am now less than 3 weeks away from completion date and need to find someone else to do the work. I cannot speak to their work, prices seemed reasonable, but complete lack of communication is unprofessional and incredibly frustrating. There is no way it took over 2 weeks for them to figure out that they were handling both parties ????‍♂️

My elderly step-mother only went in to have a simple mortgage renewal document signed requiring a witnessed signature by notary. She was then solicited legal advise which she didn't ask for and without explaining the costs up front. The signed document was then withheld until payment which she didn't have for this added cost. This is predatorial and I caution others.
