I have to say my experience with this law firm has been nothing but excellent & 5 stars!! James Simansko treats you like family! He is a very good lawyer & knows his stuff & knows many judges in Macomb County!! His assistant Angel I can't express how smart she is & very dedicated to James Simansko's clients! You won't be disappointed!! I would recommend hiring him for any court cases for probate court or making a will or criminal law cases or legal advice for your loved ones!! He won my case in probate court which was a very difficult case & seemed impossible !! I had many sleepless nights !! But James Simansko Won my case!!!!!!! I can't express how happy I am!!! :) He will do his best to take care of you & your loved ones!!

I called to request an appointment as my Financial Advisor suggest to prepare our Trust and the lady who answered the phone had very poor people skills because all I ask was to use the same attorney than my Advisor's father and she got into this private information relase and that she won't release that to me. I never asked to release that information all I wanted was to use the same attorney than my Advisor's father. She was no professional by any means. So it is unfortunate that now the lost a client over this.

My mother went to Simasko's in 2014 when her brother passed. She, being a widower, needed complete direction on how to settle his estate. His last will and testament appointed her executor. Fast forward 5 years, family disputes, complete neglect by Scott Bright, one of Simasko's attorneys, the estate was settled and Simasko collected a 20k fee! For what? We're not quite sure. Of course we received itemized bills, which frankly baffled us, because what was described on paper didn't always seem to jive with real life and the progress conveyed to us by Scott Bright. Communication in the beginning was predictably strong, and as the estate business dragged on, the attitude became more of an inconvenience when we contacted them. Really a disappointing experience and one that really plays into the cliche reputation that attorneys don't care unless they get paid. The Mt Clemens saying "Simasko Fiasco" fits perfectly.

Professional, informative, thorough and friendly are just a few words to describe my first consult with Patrick Simasko to determine my first steps for my parent's Medicaid application. His legal advice was, surprisingly, not to hire him! He called himself, "the world's worst salesperson," after assessing my family's case and determining that we truly didn't need legal help. An exceptional law firm that delivered everything they promised. We met with James Simasko and his firm 6 years ago for estate planning for our Uncle who then needed assisted living. The Simasko staff set him up with will, trust and even helped him obtain a Veteran's pensipn benefit which we hadn't been aware of. This benefit has been the main reason our Uncle was able to meet the added costs pf assisted living, bringing him over $100,000 over this period. We are now settling our Uncle's estate and are happy to find each element of the estate is able to be rrsolved exactly as the Simasko firm had indicated with no fuss, no probate and no added expense. These folks are good.

Do NOT trust this law office. They play “Macomb County” games with other lawyers and don’t care about the clients or needs. The only time Simasko was attentive during my divorce is when he received the retainer fee. Very lazy, uninvolved, and stumbled in court like he never opened the case file. I “was” a client! It was under my married name...

I met with them in the office to discuss my fathers small estate. To me it felt like they did not want to be bothered with a small estate and I was wasting their time. Afterwards I called the office on several occasions, left messages that were never returned. Sorry I wasted my and their time. Yes, the estate was small but you did not have to give me the cold shoulder. If they did not want to take it on they could of been honest and upfront from the get go.

If you want a law firm that doesn’t return calls and gives you the run around please hire Simasko Law. Michael Pallazollo has been horrible at every turn handling my parents trust. He’s completely unresponsive and very confrontational and unhelpful.
