Honestly from a clients point of view stay away. I used Armand Velardo as my attorney for a custody dispute. I feel he did not provide me with representation needed nor did he give my case the time and preparation it deserved. He made remarks like “who cares” to me during a court proceeding when I disagreed with changing custody weekends. That led to my child spending one night with me over 21 day periods twice. He called me a “google lawyer” because I began saying what the heck is going on and why are certain things being allowed to go on. I would ask “where is my representation.” He also told me “you win some you lose some.” Wow stellar. He actually failed to disclose that he was running for macomb county judge before taking on my case. He failed to notify me that he was running for a political position for several months, while supposedly being focused on my case? Right. I feel like this attorney allowed the opposing counsel to commit multiple accounts of perjury without properly and completely exposing them, to submit multiple falsified edited exhibits into evidence without properly exposing them, to commit multiple accounts of fraud without exposing them and more. I feel like the attorney failed to respond to me in a timely manner on multiple occasions. The attorney banked on the fact that you use all your cash resources and have no other options. Truly has no care for client and child besides $ sucked away from his likely intentional neglect. Its like he Purposely allowed the opposing counsel to act so that the case gets dragged on for as long as possible to hike up bill. Armand was given evidence by me that exposed the opposing counsels client with taking a controlled prescription medication without a prescription. Not only was the opposing counsels client taking these drugs illegally but the client was taking this medication to prevent herself from harming the child involved in this custody dispute. Armand never brought this to the attention of the opposing counsel or court. ?? Prime example of very poor representation and likely intentional dragging on of case to hike up bill. This directly lead to my cases outcome being negatively impacted. Never made clear or had me "sign contract" clarifying charges. I (client) provided multiple and ample amounts of evidence to expose opposing counsels perjury which Armand failed to use from beginning to end. (Probably to drag on case.) From day one I had evidence that would have likely stopped the case from getting dragged on. As a father I was primarily focused on seeing my child and spending time with him. I was blinded by and hopelessly made victim by their behavior and discrimination allowed to go on by all involved in this case. Very poor representation. Truly felt like I was in it alone at times.
