I was in a car accident back on November 11, 2019. I was trying to leave the parking lot of McDonald's on quinpool and a garbage truck backed into my car and smashed my rear end. My 11 month old was in the back seat. Luckily, she wasn't hurt or bothered at all (car seats save lives!), but I suffered level 2 whiplash and still have anxieties with driving today. I went through McGillivary Law to pursue legal action for my injuries as they still affect me today. They were amazing to deal with, and though the process was long due to things out if everyone's control, they stayed with me and we got the results we were all happy with. Not only did they help me through everything, but they sent me a beautiful box in the mail to thank ME for choosing them. I was flabbergasted. So nice. They did so much for me and still gave more. My son and I were represented by Nicolle and her team and we were both extremely pleased with the entire process. I appreciate Ashwin doing the appeal for my CPP Disability, getting all paperwork submitted and touching base with the people he needed to in the 1st few months but after all that was done I didnt hear from him unless I emailed him for an update. In Feb/21 he called me and ask me to call Service Canada and check on my appeal decision, I did call but was not sitting on hold for 2hrs and 15mins to speak to someone. In Nov/20 I had emailed my MP Geoff Regan and his office got involved in my case since it had been almost a yr and still had no decision, they contacted Service Canada for me and spoke to them and found out that they were just waiting for final report from my doctor, and they emailed me to say if I heard nothing soon to email them again. Well nothing so I emailed his office again at the end of Feb/21 which was 1 year 2 weeks since I first applied, and they contacted Service Canada again and ask them to expedite my claim for I had no other income coming in and would be in financial trouble if they took any longer. And 2.5 weeks after that CPP Disability contacted me and approved my case. So I honestly cant say it was Mcgillivray Law that won my case or my decision to get my MP involved and his effort got my application approved. I was very disappointed in the lack of communication from Ashwin in the later months after all paperwork was submitted it just seemed like he was not as committed to keeping me up to date.

They seem to be good people there. Well I do not think the lawyer from there is very good at all. When we had a hearing he said that my sister did great and that she will make lots of money. He said that she did awesome. Then we get a call and he turn and says that she might get 30,000. So we started to ask questions and we asked him if he was talking to the other side and he said yes. So we said to him do u think u should of told us. U went ahead and talk to the other side and decide what they wanted to do. To me that is very sneaky of him and he was not looking out for us at all. So now he put a bid in starting at 225 and that they will offer us maybe 30,ooo. So between 2 of them they decide what they would do without talking to us. How rude was that, he went behind our backs and then had the nerve to say do u want another lawyer. I think it will be to late for that. We already waited 4 or 5 years. He is a very bad lawyer.

Two years ago I was the victim of being involved in two car accidents within three weeks of each other. I suffered with serious injuries from the accidents.
