Had to give a star but did not really want to. Agree with the other bad reviews. Starting to think that any good reviews are from the friends of the employees or they have paid people to write good things on here. Be very careful regarding the good reviews, seriously and honestly, as you may be being fooled. We are not the only ones with bad experiences as we are aware of several others that are too scared to write a bad review on here. We are lucky as we were wise and listened to the alarm bells ringing and DID NOT PART WITH OUR MONEY! Having said that, we could not get passed the very rude woman who answered the phone, which is a blessing as the alarm bells were ringing when she started mentioning the fee to speak to someone on the phone. As at least we did not waste our money, like so many people have done so.This is a very unprofessional law firm. An absolutely disgusting receptionist that they hire. One who has no interest in anyone's immigration matters. One who repeats herself from a script and is very rude . This begs the question is Mr. Colin Singer actually a REAL lawyer? If so how can he hire a rude, half witted woman? One who speaks like Minnie mouse on helium and will NOT listen but just keeps repeating herself? As they say "When you pay peanuts you inevitably employ a monkey:! Naturally she has her job not based on merit but clearly on nepotism. Shame on this law firm for not employing a person that has a modicum of knowledge regarding the law! We were not PERMITTED to at least speak to a person who has some idea unless we paid, which is very suspicious! All she kept telling us is that we had to pay a fee in US Dollars to speak to a lawyer . Shame on them and we thank them for nothing!! BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY. DO NOT PART WITH ANY MONEY!! A real law firm will have someone that will speak with you with knowledge that actually represents their lawyers, at least an assistant who will relay your details and get back to you without money. Some firms even will hear your brief circumstances and then advise you if they can assist, where by you will book an appointment and pay when you have had your consultation and not before or over the phone! A professional law firm will listen to you as they wish to keep their reputation and stand by their name and company, instead of demanding money as soon as you call!

I used their service as a friend recommended to. In my case, I was very unhappy due to the following: 1. No follow up from their side unless you follow up with them 2. Each email communication took me up to a week or more to get an answer 3. I kept asking them if I am qualified to apply for Saskatchewan and they didn’t provide me a clear answer or a no answer while I was qualified to apply and due to their miss leading behaviour I get a year older and lost some points 4. They keep changing my agent or advisor, each answer of my email was started with “Hi, ... resigned, I am your new advisor, let me go through your file” I can provide more of these issues, but I think I already made my point, I don’t recommend their service to any of my friends.

It has been a long journey, and in fact it is not completely over as we are preparing our soft landing for August 2019. I initially started the process alone reading the documentation from CIC and I started collecting documents. Within a few weeks I realized that I stood in front of too many questions as for the details of the application and there was no way I could be successful without the help of experienced lawyers. I decided to choose Immigration.ca - Colin Singer Canadian Citizenship & Immigration and that was a good choice. On occasions I had the impression that the lawyers were being particular and picky about the information I was giving, frequently asking for more details. I thought that was a waste of time and I wanted things to be sent to CIC much quicker, but I found out that it was worth and necessary to follow the advice. I would have been tempted to apply alone and then add my then girlfriend (soon-to-be-my-wife) after we would get married, but my lawyer advised me to apply as a married couple (meaning delaying the application) since adding a member later is really difficult. In one other special case, the help of our lawyers was crucial when our first ITA was turned down because one document was considered invalid (a grey zone, really) but they eventually found a crack in the CIC procedure and they managed to bring me back into the Entry Pool and quickly back in the ITA phase. There is no way we would have managed to get the COPR without the help of Canadian Citizenship & Immigration. Thank you for their hard work and good guidance.

The worst experience ever. Do not trust Colin or anything he writes here as a reply. I had consultations with one of his employee in what was less that pitiful display of professionalism and knowledge. I worked for the Immigration office in the USA and had to check some procedures in Canada for a friend of mine. They charge you money for a consultations that are not done by the LAWYERS! The woman I talked to knew little and was just repeating herself. She was also rude. This means the employees are just partially trained and instructed to give generic answers for a $100 fee. They also take the easy cases and are not prepared for the more complicated ones. Please check other immigration offices in Canada, some of them even have free first consultations.
