Just got off the phone with a Daniel, who was extremely rude and was disinterested in his work. Being a representative of Montreal, his attitude and behavior has really made me second guess any little interest I have in that province. He asked me what i wanted to know and since i haven't been working in a lawyer's office for any amount of time, i told him that i am an international student in Canada where I completed one year of my studies and was looking out for options in Montreal for my second course where he rudely interrupted me and said its up-to-me, I ignored that and told him that i was interested in building a career in Quebec when he interrupted me again and said that i have to apply online. I think Campbell or Cohen need to take another look when their hiring their staff . because this attitude sucks and was very unprofessional. I was looking to hire a lawyer but now i think il take my business elsewhere as it is clear that Campbell and Cohen are such a big company that they don't really need to care about one client and i'd rather take a lawyer that is more interested in their clients to effectively do their damn job.

Didn't even suggest that I finish my Master's degree before applying. Was told I had enough points and was 'eligible' to apply. Hogwash! My score is so low nothing but PNP would get us into Canada but they don't even know if an IT professional can live in PEI or SK but work remotely for a company in another province!!!! This would be crucial information in the time of COVID-19 to adhere to PNP restrictions! Rural provinces do not have IT jobs!!!

I really don’t know where to start. My story starts in Thailand where 2 years ago I met a local girl and we started a relationship ( crazy idea I know ) with no expectation on where it may lead. I thought I would visit her a couple of times and then in return she could visit me if this relationship went further. I had no idea how wrong I was thinking that someone could just visit Canada ( I didn’t realize how difficult it is for most foreigners to just visit Canada) I did all the needed research and collected and navigated through all the necessary paperwork for the TRV. I applied and we were denied- I couldn’t believe it. I then applied again being more diligent and having more supporting documentation and we were denied now a second time. At this point I was travelling every 6 weeks for 44 hrs to see her. For my 3rd attempt I reached out to my local MP and received a supporting letter from him coupled with some newly acquired travel history and a more detailed application. This one took a bit longer with the same result - denied! I then decided I needed professional advice and my research lead me to Campbell & Cohen. I was impressed right from the start dealing with people like Sarah, Faye, Magdalena and Jenna whom were all amazing! I found them organized, professional and their fees were quite reasonable. With the advice from counsel we decided to wait 6 months and see how the relationship would develop keeping in mind we already has three denials. We decided we wanted to be together for life so on October 31st 2018 we were married! We waited until February to me formally sponsor my wife to Canada and once the initial application was approved we again applied for another TRV. On April 25th we received the good news that her Visitors Visa was approved and on June 2nd she arrived in Canada! It’s actually quite amazing because this week it will be our first year anniversary and she just received her confirmation for her permanent residency last week. All this would not be possible if it wasn’t for the great team at Campbell Cohen - I thank you and hopefully one day when I visit Montreal we can thank you in person !

I had a really pleasant experience with dealing with Campbell Cohen, I received my coPR within 4 months of submitting the application. I would recommend that to anyone who is looking for a hassle free application into Canada. Before you apply for their services you need to understand what you are requesting vs what you are getting. here is a summary of my experience - 1. Enquire about what application you should submit - e.g. skill migrant, sponsored etc.. You will receive a response from "David Cohen, Attorney at Law", however please be advised you are actually getting response from his assistance. This is not a bad thing because they generally get the same sort of questions come up and will provide the right information. 2. Based on the answer for point 1, you will do research with other lawyers and will find Campbell Cohen is cheaper. You will also read cheaper is not always the best. But from my experience it was. 3. Once you apply the process will begin - Step 1 - Preparation of your documents (includes review by Campbell Cohen team) Step 2 - Submitting documents Step 3 - Canadian Immigration Confirmation 4. During Step 1, someting will contact you from Campbell Cohen. He/she will introduce themselves and advise they are there to action only step 1. They will send you necessary documents that needs to be completed. These are the same documents you can find on the Canadian Immigration website, however there are simply too many hence guidance is requied - which is where Campbell Cohen comes in. generally speaking the documents will take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete (depending on how busy you are). Campbell Cohen also gives you a milestone due day, this is to ensure you aren't simply leaving them hanging for months after months. As they are serving many other clients phone calls aren't always the best. Therefore if you have questions or if you are unsure, simply email the question to them. Once all the documents are complete and supporting documents are obtained, you will need to mail everything to them. Once received, the contact personw will validate the documents and prepare your application. Please also note during this time you will have to pay for the immigration application (on the canadian immigration website), strict instructions will be provided on how to do this. 5. Once Step 1 is complete, the application will be submitted. Depending on the type of application and location of lodgement it may travel to more than one location. E.g. mine travelled to Mississauga (2 months) then to Ottawa (2 months). once Step 1 is completed and the application has been submitted, there will be a handover from contact person 1 to contact person 2. Contact person 2 is your case officer who will handle the case until a decision is made by the dept of immigration. During this time the communication will be limited so dont pester them with "hows it going, how long will it take", just remember the lawyers can't do anything until immigration makes a decision. 6. And then one fine day the Case officer will send you an email saying congratulations and requesting for a postal address to send you the landing papers. Once you send this the case officer will give you a fedex tracking number, arrival guides and close the file at their end. Things to do and NOT to do - * Have to be patient. * Have to go through the painful process of obtaining documents from birth till now - if you provide dodgy papers, be prepared to be delayed. * DO NOT pester lawyers, I'm a customer and I'm saying this. I can only imagine what they must go through. * More patience Campbell Cohen team - Thank you!

I initially decided to use them because of all the good reviews online. It took me so long to gather all the required documents. Then I waited 11.5 months after I got an ITA to get refused. There was no care to call from them to see why it was refused, to ask for notes.. i just waited and waited to be disappointed. I called iRCC, i became aware of what to ask, i ordered my notes etc... they did nothing to see what was wrong! Then when all my tests were passed the deadline and after my honest review, they contacted me to reapply (knowing i'll have to gather all new documents again, pass new tests new medical exam and all costs) Please don't use them, they won't serve you unless you're a perfect candidate. If you're a perfect candidate then do it yourself!

I was asking questions while this man was raising his voice at me, being totally rude and unprofessional. I would simply like to express I have never had someone yell at me. Beware of this firm. They have a flashy front to lure you in. But once you have paid them the initial fees you won't get any individual attention. The agents are extremely rude. Even the upper management treat you like they are doing you a favor in they way they speak to you. One yelled at me for 2 mins on the phone because I complained about how they treat clients. They are unprofessional and won't answer actual questions you have. They will always point you to the user guide if you have questions. Apply on your own as the process is straightforward and easy for a novice to navigate.

10 Stars if there was more! I had done my homework on this Law Firm before I even moved to Canada. And what a great service from start to finish. I would strongly advise you use an immigration lawyer to go through the immigration process. (And this firm done us wonders) I had already got my Work Visa myself before coming to Canada to work and live with my Girlfriend (Canadian Citizen). After living 1 year in Canada, we took the steps for the (Inland Sponsorship) as I was on a Work Visa at the time and applying within. Wonderful service and very professional from the beginning. We hired Campbell Cohen post our ITA to fill our Express Entry profile. They were very professional in the approach. Our case was handed in a timely manner and the documentation request was very straight forward. They had asked to put in LoE's where it was required. I guess because of the documentation the case was easy for the Visa Officer and probably one of the reason our case was processed fast! One of the things I liked from them was the automatic emails they send for important communications such as PPR's. Once they receive our PPR its automatically forwarded to our email id to save time. I am assuming its the same for other important communications such as ADR request etc (we didn't have an ADR). I also got to keep my user ID and pass, which helped me to access the account frequently and check the status; as I had not linked my EE profile to the firms account. Overall a great experience!! I would definitely recommend them!!

Most other firms wanted to us to sign up even before we were not sure if we wanted to get the PR. The sent us documentation guides so we understood exactly what was required of us and they were good at pointing out issues in our application that could have tripped us up. Please avoid this firm. I called a guy named Matt, he passed me down to Tonia, Tonia passed me down to Jenna, who she claimed was a specialist. They all promised to review my file. But the final product was a disastrous cover letter with full of terrible mistakes begging for denial, which they sent to Immigration without my approval. My case was naturally denied. The attorney who signed my contract and cover letter did not bother reading it. Nobody, I believe, cared. They made mistakes and they lied about that. Now, Matt and Jenna are gone, my dossier terribly damaged. They knew this was a clear case of malpractice. They refunded me immediately. But were not ready to fix my case they harmed drastically.

I was very hesitant to hire a lawyer to help me obtain a study permit in Canada, but looking back, it has been the best decision I could have made. I also required a TRP, so my case was a little complicated from the beginning; however, my lawyer and his entire team helped me from start to finish, told me not to give up, and provided the necessary insight and knowledge that I didn’t have. According to the internet, it can take around 6 months to get a TRP approved. I sent in my application on May 1, and got my approval notice on August 8. A week before that, my lawyer sent in a request to expedite my processing times. I absolutely believe that I would have not gotten a response back, and definitely not a final decision if it wasn’t for my lawyer and his team. To keep this short, I can highly recommend them. I know for sure that I wouldn’t be in Canada now without all their help and support!
