I was mistreated at work, in the last few weeks I worked there, they made my life impossible until they decided to fired me. I am not the first one and won't be the last one to be treated like that from that company. I was furious, sad, stressed, frustrated, angry, mad so I did a little online research and Charles Osuji came up as one of the top Employment Lawyers in Alberta. I can't remember if I called or emailed but they replied right away. I am not going to tell you how good or bad he was but I will tell you what he delivered. I couldn't really afford a lawyer and I've never had a legal fight before, but it really bothered me how my former employer treated me so I decided to pay the circa $350 consultation fee to find out: 1. if I had a case and 2. how much my case was worth. The consultation was brief and to the point, and they gave me the answer I was looking for. But what really made me move forward with his services was the format of not having to pay anything up front and not be charged by the hour, but instead he will take a cut of the settlement. Calista and Charles guided me through the whole process and kept me in the loop every step of the way. In a matter of 11 months we agreed in a settlement just before trial and I got the compensation just a little more of what he anticipated we were going to get. Do I recommend them? Hands down hell yes! He is indeed good and the best of it justice was made and I hope that company learned their lesson.

If you want to suffer forever in family law and hire an attorney that’s practically working in your ex’s favor then proceed. I couldn’t even get a decent parenting order. Every tiny bit of it is back to bite me hard and suffering very high costs to barely be able to amend and adjust. Charles basically drafted a parenting order that told my ex to enjoy making my life a living hell. This also includes an awful child support order that he filed. You’re better off drafting it yourself and get help from courts and online searches. Edit: In response to your reply below you did reach out to me and I expressed to you my frustration regarding giving me inaccurate legal advice. One example was you telling me that I could not apply for spousal support before starting a divorce. Unfortunately I believed your legal advice to be true. It wasn't until I visited another lawyer that I was able to file for spousal support and get awarded without starting a divorce. This not only cost me legal fees for nothing but cost me time and paying legal fees once again to correct the mistakes. As you recall and as we discussed this information was communicated to me via email. I get charged for every minute you work on my file. At the end of the day it is quality - Results over quantity - time spent on my file.

I needed legal advice on short notice concerning an IP (Intellectual Property) issue.
