There was an extreme lack of communication, responsibility, and care throughout the entire process. Our paralegal Jaspreet would have information requests from the government for weeks without providing it to us, and would still take multiple more to forward the emails after calling and asking after seeing the update on the immigration Canada website. These always had deadlines to receive the requested information by. Jaspreet had sent the wrong information in multiple times. He would send the same (old) documents instead of the updated documents that had been requested, and provided to them. This delayed the application processing time. We had met with Gary to discuss the issues we were having with Jaspreet with no resolution, or apology. Jaspreet continued to be on our case, and submit wrong information. There has been no acknowledgement, or apology. I have requested to speak with Gary again on these concerns with no response from him, but from his bookkeeper Tina, who was very rude and informed me that Gary is very busy, and cannot call me to discuss concerns as if I am not a paying client. They took 5 months to submit our spousal sponsorship application even though we had provided all information asked for. I definitely advise staying away from this company as my case was neglected in the hands of Jaspreet who clearly didn't know what he was doing. they make more mistakes than they will take accountability for.

I wish I could give him no stars! Made an appointment to discuss an important issue with regards to my wife's citizenship application. Not only did he lack knowledge about one of the most important aspects of immigration law, he had nothing substantial to say. Whatever he said, I was able to research on the internet the night before. Instead he tried to tick the clock forward by telling me that despite being an immigrant, I spoke great English. Please avoid him or his firm if you do not want to waste your hard-earned money.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! I had a horrible experience with them as well as many others. I phoned them for a consultation, paid up front, and then spoke on the phone for 1 hour. I am very detailed orientated, and had all my documents and information prepared before the phone call. I took detailed notes on everything he said. After following his advice, it turns out that he provided me the wrong advice and information, wasting my time and money. By following his advice, my applications were rejected. After phoning 2 other lawyers, it turns out that what he told me was a direct lie. After I phoned him back, his secretary would put my call through to talk to him, so emailed them and after a few emails back and forth... he went back on what he initially said. So clearly he does not care about clients, does not have the experience or knowledge to help anyone. It was a waste of $1,000 and waste of my time.

Beware of this scam artist. He charged us a total of $21,000 for a simple US waiver application. We were laughed at by the US border agents for having paid so much. The most they saw anyone pay for a lawyer to do this is only $2,000. We will definitely be suing him in court. I advise anyone who was scammed by him to go to the Calgary Court to ask the court to review his fees. The application fee at the court is only $100 and you can get a court order to recover any fees paid that he overcharged you for. He also gave us very bad advise. The worst experience we've ever had with a lawyer.

The worst immigration company. They create the wrong high CRS score to entice prospective clients. and they want to charge you for that in an absurd amount!!!!!!!!! Today, I went back to Hansen Company. they called the wrong Score as Human errors. and I paid 800 for nothing just put myself at ease. They where pretty efficient when I ask for my Working Holiday at first, then to follow other process, they were very irresponsible, they once asked me to go to Vancouver to a chilean consul right away to get some papers that they had to send in a period of 3 days.. Very rude staff, a very expensive service and the worst part, they don’t refund you if they lost your case.. They screw my case, because of them I lost a lot of opportunities, and then when i ask for my personal documents to see another lawyer, the guy told me that I had to pay the full amount first, even when because of their fault I lose that case, because their irresponsibility... BE CAREFUL. I am now adding additional information from Hansen & Company that further validates my review. Since the initial review, I have reached out to ask for a 50% refund. I felt this was a fair resolution for both. Hansen & Company rejected and informed me that the charges that I describe below for telling them how I found out about them is acceptable given it was only less than a minute. I don't believe it was less than a minute but how is it acceptable to charge ANY time for a question that benefits the firm charging YOU? If you are still with me, please read the previous review that I have written earlier to get an oversight of this firm's questionable behaviour. I am editing this post after recently reading the negative reviews of others on this review forum and I see, I am one of many people who feel this immigration lawyer performs questionable actions when charging clients. I recently required some confirmations on a permanent resident application for my wife's US immigration process. I called Hansen & Company in advance to learn the rules of engagement. As we all know, lawyers charge in six minute increments and time is billed accordingly. During the call with Mr. Hansen, I asked half a dozen questions and on two occasions, Mr. Hansen said he did not know the answers. He later followed up on one but allowed me to follow up the other. This was the first instance of what I believe was unprofessional service. I had hoped he would answer that question to confirm my follow up, but he did not. Through the call, my wife and I were under the impression that he tried to keep us on the line and even asked us who referred us to him in an effort to bill more time. This kind of petty behaviour annoyed me more than anything. I don't regularly enjoy paying a lawyer for the time to answer one of their questions. This could have easily been asked after the call by email. This was the second point that to me was unprofessional. What ultimately caused me to write this poor review is the way his office staff acted towards me when I later called them and asked for a confirmation of the question Mr. Hansen could not answer. I was told that this was not discussed and made to feel that I was inventing a story in an effort to obtain free advice. I don't normally go out of my way to smear a company or write poor reviews. I normally only write reviews for companies that provide great service. Most of the time, I can't be bothered to waste my time disparaging poor service. Despite the 4 and a half star rating that Hansen & Company have, I caution you to be very careful with them as rather than appease a client, they would rather insinuate that you are disingenuous and not holistically look for a fair resolution. In other words, once they have your money, good luck getting it back or getting anymore information out of them pertaining to your unanswered questions. I'm not going to sweat over the $215 we spent but I certainly will warn others when it comes to the way they like to run the clock. Very disappointing experience.

They will guide you and once you provide the necessary documents, be sure of the results you are expecting.. They are very good, considerate and understanding. I recommend their service to anyone.

After I paid for the full service for $3000 at the beginning, I had a really hard time to contact them. They asked me to send email or phone the person to make appointment. However, my contact person hardly get back to me. I had to prepare all my LMIA document by myself. They did not even give me a document list. I had to visit the office every week to try to contact the person. Close to the my application deadline, they finally changed my contact person. They mailed my application on the last day of the deadline. My LMIA was rejected because of failure to repost the job advertisement. They never mentioned that to me or my company. I would not recommend dealing with this lawyer firm. I went in for a exploratory meeting in which I was told they needed to call somebody to confirm something in regards to my paperwork. After not hearing back from them for two weeks, I called them and told them I no longer needed their services since I did not receive a response in a timely matter. I got a call back 30 min later saying they could not do the application for me but they could go a different route. I previously had already told them I was not interested in doing my application that way. Two months after that I received a invoice for $1,300 for the supposed phone call on top of the $500 I already paid for the meeting. Be very careful to sign any documents they give you that they will hold against you as their retainer agreement and with that they will charge you without you being aware of it.
