I was being hounded with a frivolous lawsuit when I came to Andrew Rebane. I had very little idea of how to handle my problem and had spent months just avoiding “getting served.” On TV that works. Not so much IRL. The whole thing was ridiculous in my opinion so I had just decided that I need not pay attention to it. Then there was a court date and all of a sudden it was extremely real. If I didn't go, this lawyer could say whatever he wanted to about me and I would not be able to defend myself. It was too late to get my own lawyer at that point. I ended up going it alone and asking the judge if we could postpone the matter until I could retain counsel. Thankfully the judge agreed. A few days later, after looking at every lawyer in the lower mainland's website, I chose Andrew Rebane. I liked the name of his firm- Resolutions. That is exactly what I wanted- a resolution to this problem. He was also a native Vancouverite and my age so I knew we would ,at the very least, have some common urban cultural history. I liked his bio on the site too- professional and yet very human. Andrew not only “got me” but he also understood the whole messy issue immediately and was able to efficiently and competently take matters in hand to let the court know that the other lawyer had the jurisdiction all wrong. The other lawyer , having a different objective reality than most people continued to press on with his case. I had hoped he would just go away but Andrew pushed me very hard to get a lawyer in the correct jurisdiction because he knew that this guy would not stop. Of course Andrew was right. I can't even tell you what peace of mind Andrew has given me over the last few months. Totally worth it. I would recommend him as an estate litigation lawyer without hesitation- haha- It's true that I haven't worked with many other estate lawyers for comparison, but I liked him just fine and would be happy to answer any questions other potential clients may have regarding my experience.
